Making paper beads with tissue paper

Freezer paper will turn fragile tissue paper into paper that can be cut with a paper cutter. By ironing the tissue paper onto the freezer paper u creat a whole new product.

This is a great double whammy tutorial 🙌. Finding I can iron tissue paper onto freezer paper is brilliant and then the idea of just using patterned paper on the end of paper beads, well that is going to make my beautiful papers go so much further. Thank you for sharing these fantastic ideas 🥰🤩🫶

Thanks so much for sharing your technique - after trying this with the glue, I am thrilled to find a better way to adhere the tissue to paper. Please let me know what temp you select and use for the ironing process. Can’t wait to give this a try!

Love your idea about covering only the tips with designer images. What a savings! I would love to see more from you...like what you do with the beads when they are finished, maybe a tutorial on rolling them, do you glaze them, or do you put an end cap on them? Thanks so much for sharing your ideas!

Thank you so much for your kind comments. There are so many paper bead tutorials that I focus on what I feel is new or not covered enough. I do make necklaces and bracelets with my beads. And yes I glaze them. I use different types such as mini wax polyurethane water base, PVC, vibrance by Janice Mae. I’ve even tried glazing medium by Liquitex. I find that depending on the paper I have to triple glaze. When making jewelry I usually use glass beads between my paper beads. I’ll try to film my paper bead jewelry soon. Thx again.
