I used silver foil paper and black cardstock and cut four of each shape so that the earring looks the same on the front and the back. I used Distress Embossing Ink (Versamark ink) and clear embossing powder, and pressed the black die cut shapes into it, then covered it with embossing ink, then heat set it to create a shiny surface. If you want it super shiny, add more embossing ink (Versamark ink) to the shape, and cover it with more clear embossing ink, then heat set it again.
Once it has cooled, take a jump ring and attach it to the hole in the paper. I took some beads I had on hand and put them on a wire, then about 1/8" from the top bead, I made a loop and then wrapped the wire around itself twice or three times, then snipped off the rest of the wire to create a dangle. I went back to the paper and added another loop to it, then added an earring wire to this, then attached the dangle with beads on it with another jump ring. Did the same thing to create the second earring.

How fun! I love how you give alternatives to traditional supplies (Inever would've thought to use paper, instead of leather, metal, beads, etc) ... thanks for sharing! 💕

I bought a pair of paper earrings many years ago that have held up great, and now if I have an outfit that I don't have earrings to match, I can whip up a pair in no time....I love it when crafts are practical like this. I have a bunch of paper earrings now and really like how light weight they are..Sandy

Hi Sandy I'm back with a new tablet that doesn't crash every five minutes. What a great idea for Christmas earrings, mine always get lost one Christmas to the next. Update on health issues Norma is all clear and I see the surgeon on Monday, at last. It's good to be able to watch you craft all in one piece and not keep having to relode .hugs from the UK.

Sandy these earrings are so sweet! I’ve been thinking about making some earrings for a while now. I’ll put these on my to do list! I love that your channel isn’t just one crafting idea! It’s whatever tickles your fancy! The tips that you have given are so helpful. I’ve made earrings and dog tags with the shrinky dink paper before. They turned out so cute! The little candy harms you used are so adorable and make your earrings precious. My sister-in-law’s (my hubby’s sister) Son got married today,. It was a lovely ceremony and a fun reception. I made a 9 x 12 accordion style album for their honeymoon photos for their Disney World their honeymoon trip.I think it turned out so cute. I also did t shirts that have friend, best friend, girl (boy) friend, fiancé all crossed out and on the back wifey or hubby respectively with a small Minnie or Mickey Mouse ears They turned cute too I think. I’ve never made an album before and I didn’t realize how much time it would take either. I’ve sat so much making these that I have very sore hips. It was so much fun tho’. You have inspired me to go out of my comfort zone and try new things. So I did. You are so fun to watch and I love how you are so willing to try new things! You’re the best! I hope u have an amazing thanksgiving !

Katz, Your note made my day! Seriously...I think you'll really enjoy making earrings as they're super lightweight and the bead is really the only weighty thing on it. I bought a pair of three d paper flower earrings at a street fair in NYC many years ago and they're still in great shape, so I thought why not make more, and when I found these dies, it made it even simpler. If you have a very small circle hole punch to make the hole you have to have, you could use any punch or dies to make the earring shape, and that's even more fun. The candy beads I bought at Joanns, but know I saw them at Michaels too.. I'd love to see a photo of the album you made if you have one. It sounds so cute and perfect for the couple. I'll be making an album for the upcoming arrival of my great nephew...They're naming him Finnick Parker Duda and we're so happy they've included our name in his... I have shrinky dink paper but my great niece and I used packaging from a grocery store (I think it's plastic with #5 for recycling) and that worked too...Hate to do a craft where it's hard to find the shrinky dink paper.... I think I'll be tackling a Christmas ornament that's normally made with material, but trying it with papers instead..so wish me luck..if it works, it'll be my next video..if not, you'll never see it, haha....Hope things there are good...Sandy

They're so light weight and you can make them with paper punches or just by drawing a design on a piece of paper then tracing it onto cardstock and cutting it out. I bought a pair of earrings at a craft show a long time ago made out of paper and I've worn them many times and they're still in great condition.

Rich caught my cold and now has laryngitis, but won't go to the doctor...it's a man thing haha... I'll bet these would be good for craft fairs. I bought a pair of paper earrings at a sale in Boston many years ago, and still wear them...

Sorry I broke my leg in July and have been in a wheelchair ever since and can't get into my craft room. A lot of craft sites now sell earring dies. Sandy
