Even though they were counted as "failures" since they weren't flowers, they were still a learning experience. You will figure it out. I really like the 3D effect in the first batch; they almost look like jellyfish. And the flash cure batch ones remind me of marbles. Really interesting to look at, and you will probably find new things in them every time you look at them

When you add alcohol ink, the resin will push it out then pull back in. I have this mold but never tried a bloom in it, only flat coaster molds. Try watching some videos by Daniel Cooper. He makes blooms look easy! I would think that the depth of the mold would effect the movement of the resin. It really comes down to the kind of resin you use, temperature of it when you drop and temperature when you add the white. I also wouldn't use a sharp object to pull petals as you could scratch the mold. Draw petals slowly. Don't rush it because you are moving that resin around and fast movement can cause the petals to deform.

If your looking for making patterns molds that are wider than deep are usually better. Alcohol inks move pushing against each other too. I love the experiments though they’re always fun. Go for a more shallow mold still not matter what they will sink. Some pigments have more viscosity so that moves less or try a higher viscosity resin. Still looks amazing

Have you thought about chilling the resin so it cures slower? I’ve seen people do this when they don’t want colours and patterns mixing together while curing. I know the white tends to sink because of the weight of the titanium oxide, but the way it spread out looked like there were some convection going on. It’s at least something to try. Alternatively, prep and chill the coloured ones, and mix the white at room temp when you think they have gelled enough. That way you ought to have a longer working time, and hopefully the cold slows the white from falling through all the way.
