Absolutely amazing! I just made my own spring rolls using rice paper and saw the net design and now I understand how it gets it! This craft/trade is impeccable!

Yes I am from maharashtra and we use exactly the same method to make steamed rice papad( in marathi - tandlache papad - recipe is available on youtube ) And very much common in southern india too. And also there are many other ways to make rice papad

I assume you mean the drying trays. They are made out of woven bamboo I think not wood. I have no idea what they are called.
