Torontos market is all corporate tickets. They really don't care about the team. The hard-core fans are standing outside rooting for the team. Obviously their are some real fans inside, but a lot of fans can't afford a ticket to see them inside.

there are a lot of rich true leaf fans. Tonights game 3 the tickets are 4000 a pop for decent tickets.

Long Dubas syndrome is a condition in which the losing culture imposed by a former manager was so absolute it remains even after said GM is no longer with the organization. The length of time it takes to recover from Long Dubas is dependent on how fast the subsequent manager can fix the problem.

I went to the season opener against MTL, and I'm from the states. I could never afford a playoff ticket, it's the suits who get the seats. They arent towel waiving. We need hardcore fans in the seats

A win doesn't automatically make someone invincible from criticism. A goalie could let in 5 terrible goals and the team could still win. Getting the win doesn't change how he played during the game. His play can still be talked about and critiqued. Talking about IQ when you cant comprehend this is rough my guy. Ice up

Stanley Cup playoff hockey - isn’t anything like being a pop star. Mitch is changing his attitude from coming across as some the Rock Star super star. Mitch just needs how to thrive with playoff officiating and to be stronger on the puck. The Leafs Crowds are suffering from Playoff Hockey PTSD - so please don’t comment on Leaf home game crowds. They are still in therapy. 😀

I used to work for a company and they had a box full of leaf tickets. I'm talking thousands. They would give them out to people they did or wanted to do business with. Every year they refilled the box. They also had box seats which they used for themselves. Leaf games are all corporate. I think maybe 1.5 percent of the tickets get sold to fans. Everyone else it's just business kickbacks. Probably why leaf games aren't as energetic as others

Bro stop!!! The team isn't reliant on one star, but they do rely on Matthews, Marner, Nylander and Tavares to come up big. Marner has been a complete ZERO in the playoffs for the past 6 or 7 years. He disappears EVERY SINGLE year during the playoffs. Edmonton relies on Dreiseitl and McDavid. Last year in the playoffs, Dreiseitl had 13 goals, 18 points in 2 series (12 games). McDavid had 20 points. I'm not saying Marner has to get those kind of numbers, but one assist in a playoffs is disgraceful. Cut this guy loose!

@@tjmckenzie4048Marner led the team in points last year. 3g 11a for 14pts in 11 games. He’s probably overpaid but by no means a scrub like some people suggest.

basically, the fans in maple leafs square and the ones in the arena need to switch. im sure toronto would be a lot different with screaming fans while they play vs silence from the suits who are in via business and comps. look at when they score, watch the ones inside vs the crowd outside. that needs to exist inside as it does help spirits on the ice. toronto games are treated as a luxury and status statement amongst the people. sad to see how literally ass backwards it is regarding their home crowd. seeing a home game shouldnt feel like a once and a lifetime experience especially a team like toronto.

Mitch needs to man up, that's what he needs to do. Playoff hockey is about in your face that's my puck hockey. He needs to be on the right side of the plus/minus that's all. What's the rock always say. Something about kick ur candy ass, what I'm saying the words out on how to shut marner down. You just lean on him and he fades away. Take a penalty slash somebody. He's a great hockey player but he's soft if he fixes that he'll be unstoppable. AM is a monster and deserves the praise. Go Leafs. Drop mitch to the 3rd line and leave him there. Peace ✌️ 😎

Would love to go to a leaf game but the price is just crazy to take my wife and daughters. they also sell out in 1second so the odds are insane. Now they are being sold 2nd hand for 4000 dollars a seat for this game 3. Insane!!!!!!! I'm sure the people paying 4000 a ticket are true fans and will be going NUTS tonight screaming like crazy! GO LEAFS

I was born June '67. 1 month after they last won the cup. For my entire life they were not very successful in the playoffs except for a few seasons. Could not stay a "die-hard" fan after so many disappointing seasons.

Agree. The media should ease the f*ck up on Marner. He works as hard as any other player, and his points total on the season is up there with the best. I think he has suffered from being separated from Matthews, but his line-mates have to play better, as well. I'm confident he'll start being less 'invisible' tonight and over the rest of the series.

Within the next 2 years , to make the team better I would sign manner and then trade him to get better 2 Defenceman free up probably 12 mill with him and with the defence you would probably have 4 mill left over from that. we have domi now sign him long term $4×3 or 4 . Sign Tavares to a league min if he takes and then let him retire with that contract, Gabe the C to Morgan or Austin , Let T,.j brodie walk. You have all the younger kids on entry level contracts. You'll have $11+12+5 =$28 mill roughly saved from 3 players and then if you get 2 Defence probably around $20mill

@@people3865 well right now you can't with the no move clause, on the next deal they may make it were it NMC kicks in at the end like they did with his current deal. They need to get the deal and number done in order to maximize the trade value in return. He is a good player but this market might not be for him , he could change everyone's mind if he goes off this post season. With the new guy taking over and wanting change if the leafs don't go far it will happen. They're cap strung they need space, Nylander is there best player in playoffs with the history behind it , mathews has proven himself , Tavares if hes on a league min everyone will say thats perfect and marner hasn't gotten it done to the level of the other 3.

And yet coming into this year's playoffs Mitch Marner has the most points of Will and Auston same number of games. You cannot lay last years Florida series just on Mitch, because Auston was right there with him.
