Even though I haven't heard the whole lecture, I hope this section of the lecture has clarified for most people that deobandis' brelvis, salafi's etc are all different groups but still part of the same saved sect (meaning Muslims) and stop fighting over peanuts.

If only all muslims proclaimed they are Muslim, rather than Shia Sunni Wahaabi, etc etc and followed atleast the basics of Islam rather than going in to so much detail regarding issues which humans will not be asked about by Allah swt.

AoAWW! Sahib G, think a little more time on this Hadees. Only one word "Ummat" needs explanation. In my opinion, the whole population of the World is the Ummat of Nabi (saww). So by considering the whole population of the World, while explaining this Hadees. It is clear, that all the Islamic School of Thoughts are Jannati.

Are the sects mentioned in Quran?

Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him said my ummah will become 73 sects in hell except 1 but who follow to Allah ajwajal and his Massinger as well as sahaba they will go in jannah.

The hadith says that 72 are in fire one is saved and If the jama'a is the right group (the jama'a wich means the majority) then we understand that 72 are saved and one is in fire (cause 72 are the majority), no, the correct hadith is not "ahl as sunna wal jama'a, but "Quran and Sunna", those who follow the Quran and Sunna and bite to it and they die in that state, so the meaning of this is: no suni, no shia, no salafi, no hanbali, no maliki no madhhaba, no manhaja, just MUSLIM, Muhamad a.s. was with no additional term beside Muslim and his companions where. And in between these muslims who stick to Quran and Sunna there are weaker and stronger and for others who claim that are: suni, shia, hanafi, hanbali, maliki, sufi, salafi, (madhhaba, manhaja, tarika and God knows what terminology of explaining the right path they bring) Allah will question them as declared: 6:159 Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah ; then He will inform them about what they used to do

@0:40-41, Don't mean to sound disrespectful, but the speaker talks about so called list of 73 sects being compiled around 4th-5th centuries. Really? He repeated "400 soemthing.." Islamic Prophet's birth event itself took place in 570 AD and he died in 632, which are sixth and seventh centuries nominally. Sorry, am I missing something or am I the only one questioning him?

The speaker whoever comes from his respective sects try to justify other are kafirs & they are the 1 sect but any sect that says ill will about practice of faith goes against values of islam taugt in quran. So that sect is ofvourse not the 1 who will go yo jannah. 1 sect can only be who follow Quran & message of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in its meaning thats is following Ahl-E-Bayt as commanded at Ghaddir-E-Khumm declaration. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) "Whose Mawla i am, Ali is their mawla". After this incident there was no ayat revealed meaning this was threfinal message & hence muslims were asked to follow spritual guide of the time.

Well how ill informed this guy is that he does'nt know about the prophecy prophet muhammad (pbuh) made regarding these sects. Prophet muhammad (pbuh) prophecised that “My people will be divided into 73 sections, all of them will be in the fire except one.” The companions asked, ‘Who are they O Messenger of Allah,’ Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “They are those who will be like me and my companions.” (Trimizi, Kitabul Eeman). Meaning is that : The persecution of the Holy Prophet(sa) and his companions was very severe. They were victims of public stoning because of their beliefs, they weren’t allowed to build mosques nor pray. They weren’t allowed to perform Hajj or identify themselves as Muslims. Now if you see today the same kind of treatment is given to the Qadianis all around the world. They are considered as Non-Muslim and are not allowed to held prayers in their mosque nor allowed to go to Hajj. They are mocked by every muslim scholar. Now any wise person can understand that it's the literal fulfillment of prophecy as today Qadianis are going with the same era as the prophet muhammad (pbuh) and his companions have faced thousands of years ago.
