When I watch you I remember the feel of the cool clay between my fingers. The shaping and the arc. The shoulder I always made uneven. I call them abstract pots. Ha Ha

There is nothing as beautiful as a hand thrown pot. I love terracotta. It may be dirty to work with but the end result is beautiful. As you said it is soft and easy to work with. All the factories in China cannot produce quality.

@IngletonPottery6 жыл бұрын
There are 2 small holes in the batt and 2 small pegs on the wheel head.

When firing these for use as a plant pot, do they only require one fire? Only to bisque?

Yes That's why I clicked on this video and am reading comments.

Is it possible to build your own kiln? Or are there cheaper models for sale?
@nicholas28186 жыл бұрын
Look up a garbage can Raku kiln. that's probably the cheapest you can get and still fire acceptable pieces. All of your work would have be raku so you'd have to look into that. Beyond that, You can do what this guy did kzfaq.info/get/bejne/edqVkq-EvszQcXk.html But make it bigger and use it for pottery. Be careful though because when you make your own janky kiln's things may explode if you don't know what you're doing. Look up kiln design's and if you have enough space a wood kiln would even work. the only problem is you have to be there for the whole firing process
