That's pretty cool. I wound up installing a USB port in place of the cig lighter under the console lid. It's connected to my Kenwood so that I can do car play and leave the phone under the console lid.

Once you replace your stock head unit with a nice double din unit with Apple CarPlay or Android equivalent, you won’t even need your phone out; you can plug it in and store it in your center console.

I realized that I had put literally zero effort into where to keep my phone when driving my Corvette. Not even a thought in my mind. I went to my doctor the next day and he confirmed what I had been fearing... low estrogen levels! ;-p

Go with the pioneer NEX 4201! It includes a free backup camera! I bought another pioneer camera for my front splitter too! Also this unit makes the stock bose speaker sound way better and cars looks more modern! I have the # of all the PAC harness so you can retain all the steering wheel controls/chimes/onstar! Oh this unit supports android auto/iphone car play and price is pretty fair!

I love everything about the C6 interior and HATE the C7 interior. Everything faces the driver in the C7 radio, AC and huge hand rail separating the passenger (my wife) who hates C7 because of this. The corvette letter on the passenger side C6 is awesome too. People never know when they have it good.

Sub here...One way to improve is start using a tripod and minimize camera movement. Its very distracting, personally sometimes i cant even watch some of your videos because it gives me a headache from all the shaking and movement.

Why? That is my only question would you drill in a holder for a phone. Instead if you really want to use your phone and upgrade the interior get a new touchscreen with appradio. sure it's more work but then you could actually do screen mirroring and install a backup camera. The only downside is you lose the heads up direction display
