How do you seal the graphite powder? Thank you soooo much! Love from greece!
@studioofmm
@studioofmm 3 жыл бұрын
In theory you should be able to just spray a clear lacquer overtop. If it reacts strangely to the graphite being a powder then add a layer of artist fixative spray first.

You crushed this project. I used to do practical effects work and I'm very impressed with your results. Ive seen a lot of mandalorian build videos and in my opinion you built the best one. Please keep going.

Tip to make smoothing your FDM prints easier with Bondo... sand the raw print first before you add Bondo. It drastically cuts down your Bondo, Sanding, Filler Primer process! Great work!!!

A-Mazing!!! Thanks so much for sharing, and also for documenting the process. Too many talk about what they did, or are going to do without showing the details of the process (that is the hard part in creating content) and you nailed it. (P.S. I cried a little for you when you had the orange peel problem after applying that gloss paint coat... been there.)

Wow this is phenomenal. Im currently working on a 9:10 scale version of the dragonslayer from berserk and its a lot of bondo filling and sanding so I definitely feel the struggle. Im going to do the graphtie powder rubbing technique too so I hope that turns out well. Great build!

The results are amazing. Pretty clean and accurate. Did you use a clear laquer or gloss layer over the graphite powder on the armor? I ask bc I know sometimes that could affect the glossy appearance. I worry about fingerprints or the color coming off if I don't seal the armor or helmet.
