Making Toy Story 2 Cleaner Tool Chest for my friend @AwesomeRestorations who asked me to make this masterpiece for his awesome Real Restoration Of Woody • Restoration of WOODY f... .
I've started from quick drawing and choosing materials for this project.
So i start cutting birch plywood to desired dimensions, after that i marked all dovetails and other parts of this chest.
Dovetails fits perfectly so i start to inventing flipping table plus popping out coat rack.
Cantilever part was little bit challenging (like whole project) but i manage to do it in the first time.
Drawer boxes were made out of solid american cherry and 3 mm plywood for bottoms.
I veneered the whole box all way round and finished it with hard wax oil.
It was one of the most difficult project i ever done sooooo far.
Let me know what do you think about this project in comments down bellow
available on my etsy store

Thanks for watching my channel.
See u soon
Mat

What beautiful job! Its been ages since I 've seen Toy Story 2, but something that sticks in my mind while watching you build this is that for some reason I thought the movie version had a drop down door on either the right or left side with the a small airbrush paint compressor setup that was pulled out or dropped down. In your opinion wouldn't something like that make the already heavy when loaded tool chest super unbalanced when carrying?
@MatthewMoustache
@MatthewMoustache 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate 👊 there was a problem with space inside, if I would decide to make exact copy the front drawers will be only 2 inches long making this chest unusable, empty chest weight 12kg so fully loaded plus compressor would be difficult to carry, but in movie there's always something magical 😉

Martin used this tool chest in his video on repairing Woody. Having built furniture for our home some years ago I appreciate watching a true craftsman at work MM. I had no fancy tools, just used what I had and built things as a hobby. Good work MM and I'm new to your channel. Cheers from this old retired coot living the dream in Tennessee.
