I work with 2/3 year olds and you'd be surprised there are so many 2/half year olds who are exceeding their communication skills! Just lots of interaction from parents, people etc, helping them to string sentences, asking open ended questions to expand their vocubulary and ensuring they are pronouning words correctly.

Mr. Rogers will never be replaced as his uniqueness is all him. I do feel that in today's day I would choose you to be "Mr. Ballinger" as you exude the clarity of respecting and understanding the person inside the child or adult.. I absolutely love how Christopher doesn’t say “no don’t do that!” When the kids do something unideal... he just goes with it, let’s them be themselves, then gently makes suggestions. Like when Duncan ripped the card in half... he didn’t scold or stop him, he just let him do it then sweetly suggested maybe they tape it back on and let Duncan decide if he wanted to do it

Oh my gosh I was cracking up at Christopher, repeating Duncan while writing the card: "Duncan, yah that's my name." Duncan: "Is that your name?" Christopher: "No that's YOUR name." Duncan in the smallest voice: "oh..." It's like he has this deep contemplation about what his dad's actual name was 😂 he's such a character, each of the kids in this family are so unique and special.

I really appreciate watching your family and simple moments like this. My family was very different, a lot of shouting and always telling you what to do or who to be. With this video I have an example for me to learn from as to how you can play with children in a child-led style and everyone is happy. It's like watching a fairy tale family for me hahaha.
