It must be kids as I saw the Stroboscopic effect in science class at around 12 years old. These guys must have been asleep when their teacher showed it to them, basic science. Having said that, the water effect with the speaker was a nice demonstration......

Remember this is a show for kids to get them interested in Science and finding out why things work. If you look at any kids show, they emphasise reactions to get them excited and yes, most things are simple. However, simple often is fun. Think of the simple aspects of putting an Alka-zelter tablet in water and oil to make bubbles. Not university science, but it it fun, makes kids think about what is going on and even adults love it. At the end of the day it is about having fun, exploring science and getting kids interested to explore NOT winning Hollywood cinematography awards and best actor awards...... relax and enjoy the simple wonders of Physics:)

That was a sudden ending. I'm rather annoyed by something though, how can that count as something the co-hosts have never seen before if his example for when you might have seen it was from a film - something they have to have seen before for the explanation to make sense? I know I'm being pedantic, but that's a little silly isn't it?

Ran into this clip. Watched it. Was not sure this is a drama or science program. Felt like leaving some message. And then read the prior messages. Found that 9 out of 10 talking about the same thing as I wanted to say, and then reached the conclusion: the producer of this show needs to improve or he/she just wants to intentionally irritate the viewers.

Nico Smets i belive the name come from the use of strobe lights to see this effect. When a strobe is used, you see the effect with your own eyes. I belive its actually caused accidents with machinery, the flikering of flourecent lights can make quipment look like its not running.
