Another build video from Making Stuff. This time it's a DIY Bench Top Hydraulic Press.
A lot of people have asked for dimensions. Here they are:
All 2 inch angle iron pieces are 19" long.
All 2 inch square tube is 24 inches long.

What is the point of springs ?

Easy to build a press drilling them Holes that takes some time. And you do need some sort of metal saw to cut the metal in pieces.

98% of the people building this already have a welder, so I don't think it's a problem. You should buy some short drillbits.. Much more stable for drilling less than 25mm/1" material. And also you could grind a radius on the bottom of the legs so that they can be folded flat with no interference to the ground. And also 4 tonnes is a bit on the weak side.. Weld reinforcement flat irons on the bottom of the "table" and the top and then upgrade the jack to 10 tonnes. :)

Muy buen video , es exactamente el tamaño de prensa que estaba buscando para hacerla . Ni tan grande , ni tan chica , además la puedes mover solo, o si quieres transportarla , no pesa tanto .
