They did make the 5600 under Dolmar, it was the ps-550

Hi from Germany! There are smaller claws for the 6100 and a second one for the outside. This is then attached to the bar nuts. In addition, the 6100 has been around for a long time, and captive nuts were not yet „up to date“…

Those 6100s sure are neat. Just be aware. They dont like to fuel enough once ported.

I have that saw. That's what I would have sent if I had won the p.j. I have also cut the slot in the high jet screw. It starts just as easy without using the purge ball. Mine runs a 3/8 chain, but I have seen them for sale with the .325. It has an inboard clutch.

The high speed jet uses a double D screw driver. Bought one for a couple bucks on Amazon. Tip looks like 2 capital D's back to back. I wanted double felling dogs on mine. Nothing in the aftermarket at least not here in North America. I caught an arborist's blog and found the cover and spikes from the 5600 fit the 6100. You have to remove the chain catch inside the 5600 cover and boom double spikes. The chain catch on the 6100 stays in place. I ordered the parts and hardware and problem solved.

I’ve wanted to try one of them 6100s sometime. Seem like decent saws. Keep up the good work

I've had a echo 590 and 6100 side by side in the same wood. The 6100 is much faster and keeps rpms under load much heigher. Both can be pushed hard like you would expect from a 60 cc saw. But the 6100 clearly has more jam. Yes they were both tuned right.

The 6100 is currently my favorite saw for logging, I empty the exhaust so it runs much better. but a little too weak for strong beech in my opinion. greetings from Germany

I bet after a few tanks of fuel, much like the echos take a bit to reach their full potential atleast in stock form!! What are your opinions on the ergos sounds like a solid unit not the best at anyone category but a runner for sure, can't wait to see her after you inject a little tlc and a touch of whoop ass in her!!!😊

I'd like to see you review a " ridgeline" saw. I think they're a good looking saw .

Sometimes a simple butt connector will turn them funky h & l screws. Shove a small screw driver in one end then you should be good to go I call it " midnight mechanics "

My father in law has the older 6401 or something like that. An absolutely massive saw for 64cc and heavy. It has the big dawgs on the sprocket cover as well. Is it more powerful than my 036? I hope lol if it was a 7901 or whatever number, I’d be singing it’s praises probably. I think that 6100 is on its own dedicated chassis so made more in mind of being a 60cc saw to begin with unlike the 6400. Hope this project turns out for ya

You gonna put that polish on that exhaust so you can see yourself? 👀
