What blows my mind if the tensile strength of the string. I don't know anything about fishing so I'm probably wrong, but I think it's called the reed. Whatever it's call that thing is so strong and it is not thick at all.
@nextari
@nextari 7 жыл бұрын
The line is nylon 20 pounds strength or more. The leader going to the fish is like 20 feet long steel wire and a lot stronger so they can pull the fish in toward the boat when it is close. The rod bends that much from 20 or 30 pounds maybe.

It's a classic by Ernest Hemmingway. Basically an old man goes out to sea to catch a fish. Ends up Snagging a GIANT marlin after fighting for days. While bringing the fish home the boat is attacked by sharks. He returns with only a giant Marlin skeleton and an epic story.

Hey dipshit, do you eat hamburgers? Do you eat chicken? Do you eat pork or bacon? Do you eat fish? Because if you do, you need to shut the fuck, or else you'll make yourself look like a massive hypocrite. If you actually watched the video, they clearly said that that big ass fish *fed* over 100 people. Grow up and accept the fact that this is life, and in the wild, things are killed and eaten all the time. What just because we're human doesn't mean we can't kill animals and eat them? Would you have such a problem with this if it we're a Great White doing the killing? This is what the cycle of life and death looks like. Now go eat a leaf or something, but be aware you're going to kill the beautiful plant. "Nooooo don't kill the beautiful fish, wah wahhhhhhh!" Derek's right, fuck off.

Did your transducer survive!!!! I hooked a mako not so long ago it was the most awesome experience!!!! Love your videos!!! At least you got half of the swordfish and all those people would have been grateful that it fed!!!!

Caught a Mako off Montauk once, never saw a shark jump out of the water like a gamefish before, a small 150 lb one gave me the fight of my life.

Love the kiwis. I saw a beauty being landed on whitianga. Love cooks beach. Love whitianga. Great breakfasts by the way for any brit. The sword was prob a bit bigger than a full version of their caught fish. But its all good, big fish mean big food! 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
