I was engaged to a wonderful woman in 2011, we had a misunderstanding and broke up. I could never forget her and would often play this song and think of her. In March of this year I sent her a message and told her I never stopped loving her. It is now almost Thanksgiving and we have been married for a month! So thankful I couldn't get over her, now I get to "do life" with her!

I just LOVE This!!!! I'm so happy to hear it....seems as though she felt the same! In October I got sick (non-Covid)......someone from my past (I've known since I was 14 reached out!). He says I've the one that got away! Who knew, as we never really dated.....well I turned 50 (and thank God I'm well) in November.......and we're still going strong!!! Hope we end up like you and your love........I'm all in!!!! ........so inspired by your story!!!! God bless!

When my mother would play this song, even as a little dude I knew it was about my father, the man who had broken her heart some years before I even knew that I existed in this world. RIP, momma. I loved you then and I love you now. My father was the loser and you won back your peace when you left him.

I use to play and sing this song all the time and my husband would always say, it’s a good song but so sad, and I would tell him , can you imagine the pain of losing the love of your life?! He would smile and tell me no, I don’t want to either. He passed away 2021. We had 36 wonderful years and I can’t stop loving him and I still listen to this song but now I really feel the pain of this song and yet it brings me happiness because of the memories with him.

Seems as though some of today's artists are doing music for fast bucks... music is soooo much more VALUABLE than money. It's part, life lived and experienced (es) good bad and ugly lessons learned and not learned... A song that touches you to the point of tears or a smile because of 10,20,30+ years ago or even yesterday, music CAN become Unforgettable to us because now you hear n understand the truest meaning of this and those songs in your heart and it helps strenghen or soften the real and true touches to our hearts made by the many who've been a part of our lives, short term and long term... Music reunites our today's and yesterdays and our soon to be's in all its splendor of memories, songs n music... NOW prove me wrong... Music is soooo much more VALUABLE than a $!!!!$$ !! Make good music and you'll live a Great life... take heed, No One escapes it's hold...

Oh my goodness; when I hear this song I get goosebumps and a warmth in my heart that only special songs from that era of the 70’s can do to me. Growing up in the 70’s songs like “ Misty Blue “just brought it home. We had much great music and artists we really didn’t just how good we had it. R & B, southern rock, soft rock, pop, country etc. It didn’t matter; I was all over the place listening and really enjoying everybody’s music. 60’s-80’s music and all of those great artists can never be matched. And being there in real time while it was being created makes it even more special. 😊

I thought maybe I wrote your comment and forgot bc I post comments so similar to this. I was one of those kids, in the 70's, that couldn't stay on one radio station. R&B, Rock & Roll and Pop were my favorites but I loved Gossip too. I liked ut all, even Blues and Country, lol. I broke so many radios and stereo component systems due to constantly changing the radio station 😟. Music has gotten me through some of the roughest times in my life. I'm glad I was open enough to agree to listen to Hard Rock & Pop when my cousins introduced me to those genres bc R&B/Soul, Blues and Gospel were primarily played in our household growing up. Now I can talk music to just about anyone that mentions a singer, song or genre 🎹🎶🎵🎼🎙🎸🎷🎺🎻🥁

I was married for 22 years to my soul mate , they were the best years of my 68 years of life. I don't know what happened and how something so wonderful ended so wrong. I lost my Father, My Brother, My Daughter, My Mother and my Greatest Friend and now my wife. Every word of this song is like the blow of a sledge hammer hitting my heart... At night when I can't sleep I look at their pictures and ask God how much can a man lose and still be who he is ?..... And then think of the things we use to do, and my whole world turns a misty blue. There is not a memory that doesn't include you. I love you Jennifer, I always have and I always will. You are my world.

In 1977, I was 12, spending the Summer in Alaska. My dad moved up there after the divorce and had us for summer. This song was playing and now will forever remind me of the time in my life stirred by this deep song. Alaska was wonderful, but this song was still a sweet sound in my ears then reliving it even now. Strange? Yes I suppose.

Many years ago, there was a highliner clam boat named "Misty Blue", blue and white in color. The crew had asked me to make a trip with them, I did not go because of another job I was working. Late at night, she sank, taking my friends with her, there were no survivors. This song was popular at the time, whenever I hear it or want to think of my friends in a nice way, I play the song. It puts my mind at ease. I believe it was their time, for whatever reason. I think of them often and know they loved the sea, they died doing what they liked.

I d never heard of Dorothy Moore, when I set off to see 'David guests soul show' at the Rhyl pavilion. He introduced her and then seconds later this very old white haired lady came out on a stick. She steadied herself at the microphone(I prayed to God she was gonna be able to pull it off) The music started and she sang this song ,exactly like you just heard it,,,,infact even better. Within a minute I was sitting there in tears. I have never been more affected by a piece of singing in my life. Not only was it the performance of the night. It was the performance of my life. I ll never forget her or what she did to me ,,,,in that grubby theatre seat in that grubby town.

Heart-felt song, and I know the message is about a broken heart after a lost love relationship, which I know is very difficult; however, my wife lost her battle with breast cancer 2-1/2 years ago, and I still struggle with letting go…I still think about her all the time, and it’s like a wise person once wrote, “The hardest part of losing someone or someone leaving…is they take a part of you with them”!!! If it had not been for The LORD and my SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, I don’t know what would have happened in my life! For all of you who have lost someone in your life, that took a part of your heart with them, I pray that you will allow GOD to fill your heart again with real love…first with HIM, and also with someone special that you can meet in the mist of your daily lives…I haven’t met anyone yet, but I still have hope that it can happen again one day…many Blessings, and thank you all for sharing your hearts.💖
