There are about 417 steps to climb the 272 ft high rock and reach the sannidhi. On the foot of the hill are the Manikya Vinayagar and Thayumanavar temples.
We can also enjoy a breathtaking view of the Trichy city, Kaveri, and Kollidam rivers from the top of the rock.
We stayed at the Mayavaram lodge, one of the oldest in the city. They also have a vegetarian canteen serving delicious homely food.
