Thanks Mike. Would like more of this for us over 50 and losing mobility group. I have a new appreciation for the senior players now who can still pound the ball and play competitively after years of playing. Fighting the forces and getting sucked into the golf positions trap for the past 20 years has taken a toll on the body. Good stuff

You could not have produced a better video for me, an old timer having had 3 back surgeries confined to the house because of the virus. My appreciation cannot be expressed more. God Bless!

I want to thank you man. Your hips and hand release vids took me from 105 to 80 in 2 days. Ive been in 90z to 100z for 20 years man. Ive never in my life been able to throw darts and shape the ball like this. Up to 6 iron i hit the ball dead straight as an arrow with perfect trajectory and rarely even feel the ball. I never had a chance from watching all the golf channel instruction trying to flip the release forever. I think they did it on purpose cuz theres more money in the treatment then the cure. But im a conspiracy theorist. Anyways you have given me a secret it feels like ive never seen such penetrating ball flight and trajectory as i did only 2 days practice the hand release and hip socket thing. I took each club and locked arms and only let hip change click the sweetspot of the club in the beginning. Feels like a new game. I will never duff another delicate tiny shot cuz i just use my hips click back n forth and lock my arms. So cool i can do it pushing the club more straight as well as having more of the angle and have them both in my arsenal. What is most deadly is using 80 percent hips n 10 percent arms 10 percent wrists keeping face square always and 5 to 160 yards i am deadly. Thank you for letting me experience how real ball striking feels. I luv rarely feeling the ball. I guarentee in few months ill be scratch handicap. Ive only worked my way up to the 6 iron. Once i make it to driver itll be over but ive always hit my driver decent 225 and decent 5 wood n 7 wood. I cant wait to work my way thru the driver. Based on my irons i shud be able hit it 270. Im done Lob wedge to 6 iron. If i hit them anything like i do 6 iron down i will be on tour if i can learn to read greens. Thats the weakest part of my game now is green reading. Honestly i played about 2 years from 22 to 24 then quit 20 years till 6 months ago n been back 90z to 105. But in 2 days practice i was 88 86 and 1 month finally 80. I have 3 months to get around 75 to make the golf team at my college and i def know i can if 5 iron to driver is like 6 iron down. Ive delayed using the new release with my driver and woods cuz i didnt wanna mess up how good my iron play is now. Tomorrow im gonna give it a shot using new release. I dont know why i havent done it.i think im kinda in shock really. . anks for putting life in my game again. I really needed this missing my girl a year from a custody battle. I cannot wait to teach her how to play. I got her a set 3 months ago but her mom is alienating us for some bizarre reason and i am so happy im gonna easily be able to teach her easily to hit the ball instead of trying to get her flip n flop release man. Thanknyou. Your a godsend at this point in my life to give me a fun healthy hobby to distract me from dying for my little girl. Thx man. Im gonna thumb everyone of your vids repeatedly. If i wudda known this simplicity genius method 20 years ago id be a millionaire. But im a zillionaire having my girl tho. Much appreciated your genius man.

That is great way to also relax your back at the same time especially if you have back pain or issues.

I’d been thinking about starting an exercise and fitness program during lockdown ...... press ups, pull ups, star jumps, running and a few weights maybe. Think I’ll do Mike’s exercise here instead.

Love your teaching/videos. Small suggestion: keep the towel under your head when throwing the ball in the air. When the head and neck are retracted it automatically tightens the upper shoulder area as well as the muscles along the spine. (Maybe interested in the work of FM Alexander 1869 - 1955 - who also wrote about golf.)

Hi Mike, can you talk about the backswing and the takeaway? It seems like you’ve talked about everything but never talk about those!

Please forgive me for being pedantic, but the title of this video is not correct. You can lay down the law, or a hen lays eggs, and a builder lays bricks, but if you become recumbent you lie down. If you became recumbent yesterday you could say you lay on the couch. So the title should be "How lying down..." Sorry for this, as I greatly appreciate Mike's teaching and his charming personality. Perhaps my comment could be taken as a desire to improve the video.

Anyone out there who worries that their fitness level is holding them back in golf, don't lol. I'm 50 years old, have a 30" waist, am 47" around the chest, have 16" arms and can bench press my own weight 10x. And I can guarantee that my fitness/strength is not helping my golf one bit. I can barely drive the ball 200 yards and often fail to carry the ball 170 in the air. I play with little fat guys who blow me away every single time, so focus on your swing and don't worry about the rest, it's meaningless window dressing, I promise you.
