The last meal at Ipoh ended at the most famous place for breakfast.
It was so amazing that Chinese food was in Muslim friendly version.
Above all, the food was so delicious!
I was supposed to shoot more after this...
But Grab had a problem on that day. So I gave up and returned to KL.
My first Food Tour place in Malaysia! Ipoh!
Since there were many unexpected situations, I think Ipoh Food Tour was more memorable.
I don't know when the next trip will be,
but I'll come back with delicious food again.

Firstly, I'm glad you've finally got a taxi as Grab was out of commission the day when you arrived. And those food were all my childhood comfort food. 2nd dish is cakoi is the same as u dip in curry mee porridge and hot coffee in ur earlier videos. This time dip in kaya jam. Red bean dough Ham Chim Peang(Chinese) Sticky rice(nian gao) with yam and sweet potato fritters. Nian gao(meaning every year prosperous) is a sticky rice cake (very sensitive when make) normally cook during the 15th day of Chinese New Year in Malaysia.

3rd dish is pan mee. U youtube before in other video. Noodle with sweet vegetable (mani cai)(sayur manis), anchovies (ikan bilis), shredded black fungus, mushroom, chicken minced meat, porched egg(normally in soup). the belacan if squeeze in calamansi (limau kasturi) juice is nice.

11:35 Chu bro, the filling is actually a kind of 떡 we use (called 年糕 in Chinese) and usually we fried it with yam/ sweet potato and it will become gooey sweet and sticky 😍

Yes... Normally mothers and grandmothers will fry during the 15th day of Chinese New Year. The last day of we Chinese celebrating Chinese New Year. Chinese also use this to pray, offer and seal the Kitchen God, not to mention the evils we do during the whole of last year to the Jade Emperor God. To do the sticky rice cake is not easy. One must be calm happy, thinking of good words auspicious words and a bunch of pomelo leaves hanging nearby to chase evil.

4th dish is call Lobak(Loh Bak) (mix meat fritters) Normally famous in Penang. Prawn fritters, Ipoh famous in yam bean fritters, Fried Wan Tan and Meat Spring Roll(beancurd skin, onion, garlic, chestnut and meat) 2 type of Sauce are special made/home made Thick brown sauce with egg white and chilli sauce.

Try Canning Garden dim sum in Ipoh bro.. it’s the best halal dim sum I ever ate in my life. Affordable too. Always crowded on weekends! Its taste is similar to that of Chinese dim sum! But without pork or lard! Other than that got other famous dim sum in Ipoh too! Do check them out! Ipoh famous for dim sum yooo!!!

The Canning Dim Sum restaurant is just opposite of this restaurant New Hollywood that you are eating now ! I can see glimspe of it in your video .. its a bungalow house. 😀
