Malaysia Might Have the Best Food in the World
Every meal I've eaten in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, Malaysia has been some of the best food I've ever eaten! My top local dishes in Malaysia so far are Laksa and Nasi Lemak, but in Malaysia also seems to bring out the best foods from other cultures as well, which is one of the reasons why I think Malaysia might be my top country in the world to visit for food!

My Caucasian friends from USA, UK and Canada swore the best food they ever tasted in their lives are Malaysian food. The amount of varieties in Malaysia are insane! The big problem now is... they no longer are satisfied anymore once they are back to their own countries. They are all craving for the insane Malaysian food again....and are already making plans to return to KL at the end of this year just for the Malaysian food LOL!

The Malaysian palette is the most advanced since we've been multicultural for a long time...hence why any other country's dish becomes next level when they're sold in Malaysia, otherwise they won't be able to stand neck to neck with local food. As you say, they have to bring their "A-game " ! Famous international chefs secret destination to get a balanced palette POV is Malaysia!

while most bird uses twigs, leaves, and random objects to build their nests, the one you're drinking is the nest of swiftlet bird (burung layang-layang in Malay) which is made from the bird's saliva and it is rich in collagen and famous among Chinese people

The Bird's nest drink is a very common drink for the Chinese community not only in Malaysia but around the world. It's a nourishing drink that has high amounts of collagen, and it's supposed to have anti ageing properties in it. Try the place called Rebung by chef Ismail. It’s a Malay buffet. A bit upscale but totally worth the price. Another place is Sambal Hijau that has 80 different dishes. Bird’s nest drink is a nutritious concoction made from the nests of swiftlets, a type of bird found in Southeast Asia. These nests are made from the bird’s saliva and are rich in nutrients such as protein, calcium, and iron. Bird’s nest soup is a popular dish in Chinese cuisine, but bird’s nest drink is more convenient and can be consumed daily. It is believed to have positive effects on one’s appearance and health when consumed regularly.

When eating out don't be surprised by random strangers or restaurant owners or hawkers giving you free food. Its our culture to give food treats especially to our guests or visitors as a token of our hospitality. Birds' nests are very expensive delicacy and very commonly consumed by the Chinese. The bird's nest itself consists of tasteless strips. The round things inside are probably longan fruits which are very commonly used in desserts.

Bird's nest is mainly a Chinese delicacy that is very expensive because of the scarcity and prep work to get it ready for consumption. Nowadays people rear the swiftlets in concrete buildings, but traditionally, the nests are harvested in caves or high cliffs. A very precarious job.

Swifts make their nest with bodily fluid. Don't think of it as saliva - it's not the normal kind of saliva. We consume animal bodily fluids all the time. Think of it like milk or honey - animal fluids. It's mostly collagen so it's mostly jelly-like. It's generally tasteless - it's more of a texture kind of thing - just like jelly. You can flavor it with any flavor you like.

Fabulous food? Nahh.. you're just hungry . But its smart of you to avoid tourist spots but just blend in with locals instead. Mind you food prices in the city is still relatively high.

Foods by regions : Arab & middle Easten Asia foods ..very meaty & hardly any vegetable in their foods. Indian, Bangladeshi & Pakistani foods A-Z curry😂. Chinese foods is comprehensive but The Chinese foods have no raw vegetables aka salad. The Philippine foods are very heavy on pork dishes. Vietnamese food has a lot of raw vegetables+spring rolls but lack of spices. If you want to compare what come close as the best foods countries are Thailand , Indonesia and may be the Japanese foods but while their foods is very delicious it lack of varieties to make it represent truly Asia's cuisines.
