In this Spell in the Library I read you an Easter piece from my ‘Poet’s Corner’ column and also reveal how in the last few days I coaxed a new poem out of the thicket of my own prose.
so here is the link to the full Church Times article that I read: www.churchtimes.co.uk/article...
And here is a link to the new Easter poem I mentioned:
malcolmguite.wordpress.com/20...
I hope you enjoy a more leisurely perusal of both

John Donne. Wonderful. His famous sonnet, "three-personed god in one, imprison me, for unless you do I will never be free" is turned into a really great aria in the opera Doctor Atomic by John Adams. Well worth a listen to. Donne would've be proud. Best wishes, Noel

Really enjoy your poetry. Love the way you present. Have been disillusioned with organized religion but listening to you renews my faith in God.

It is as if T S Eliot had experienced it... It took me back to The Burial of the Dead -"April is the cruellest month, breeding lilacs out of the dead land..." Thank you so much !

Only if I were a poet of your ability could I hope to say an adequate thanks for your words of beauty, courage, and awareness of the love and grace closer to us than breath. Thank you.

Powerful stuff. It’s funny how the, As you have previously said, ‘power of language and word’ is seems to have the force to move emotion and thoughts through us all. I haven’t wrote poems since I was a boy and will now include some in my own novel. Thank you
