If you have an anthem effect or the right spells to provide trample and/or lifelink, Wall of Blood is terrifying as hell. Pay 1 Life: Wall of Blood gets +1/+1 until end of turn. That’s instant death right there.

@@pureevil6047 It’s a goofy interaction. This applies to almost all attack restrictions. As the original comment mentioned, Master of Cruelties is considered an essential in Alesha decks. First strike, death touch, and combat damage reduces the players health to 1 instead. The restriction to this ability is that it can only attack alone. This restriction is skipped with Alesha, allowing for the instant death of an opponent if there are no blockers at all.

I’m not surprised, all the dudes he says can get it implies that he is probably somewhere in the bi-pan spectrum n he doesn’t seem like a hateful person (just a spiteful one 😹) so I’m not surprised. He likes chicks with fierce dommy mommy energy n she has that in spades; she lectured an orc into accepting a compliment about his kindness being his greatest strength. So sad that her story was tucked away in the depths of the lore n so far in the past that she is long dead n never able to get anywhere near the main story so that the homophobes n transphobes can continue to live in their bubble. Kinda like the “gay button” in video games. :(

Alesha was technically my first commander (that is to say, the first that wasn’t just cobbled together from the remnants of when I played standard) and she’s still one of my favorites. I originally had an aristocrats build for her but found that what I really enjoyed was focusing more on using the reanimator aspect to reuse ETB effects and changed my build to focus more on that. So now it’s basically a blink deck with extra steps and I love it.

Mine was sorta a hybrid (tiny leaders deck) id play an etb creature, get its effect and any other triggers, sacrifice it to something like Goblin Bombardment/Mind Slash for their effect and other triggers, then attack, get it back, trigger its ETB and others again, hit the opponent and trigger something else. Was slow compared to say, mono green tiny leaders decks, but CRUSHING value and disruption and I loved it.

As an Alesha player, I will say right out of the gates that those aristocrat cowards are nothing to do with me - I instead cheat on the power requirements, and of course mana. Angel of Invention and Arcbound Slasher are two favourites of mine, and pulling Yahenni right before wiping the board to get the value train started again will never get old. Of course I've also got stuff like Inspiring Commander, and a few other cards that get bonuses when small creatures ETB, because I'm in white, and being in red gives me plenty of ways to discard them and get more cards for it. I used to run a few self mill cards like Stitcher 's Supplier, but ended up swapping those out for more discard/draw spells and also the Mishra that transforms, because I was already running the Dragon Engine as a reusable way to cycle my hand and get even more mana cheating opportunities. Oh yes and I also cheat on invoke from the Spirit of Migration - evoking it and then reviving it is cheaper, gets the ETB twice, and effectively gives it haste

Let's not forget the fact that Master of Cruelties, Kiki-Jiki, and Felidar Guardian are all in color and targetable with her trigger Alesha isn't just for aristocrats. She'll straight up assassinate someone that has no blockers or reanimate combo pieces every turn

Let's remember that 0/13 Tree...Tree of Perdition... now if that horror of a tree wasn't that bad.. Baldin, Century Herdmaster... is a 0/7 with as long as it's your turn, creatures you control assign combat damage equal to it's toughness instead of power... And as if that wasn't bad enough that you could get what's basically a 7/7 for 2 mana... Baldin can also the next turn buff up to 100 creatures toughness by X where X is the amount of cards in your hand...

Just remember that, if you want to REALLY screw with your opposition, you can get Akroan Horse from your grave, and actually cause some bull crap. It's so funny. I'd like the opinion of the Man on Ovika, Egnima Goliath. Izzet floating goblin battle carrier is such a fun build.

I will never forget the biggest fraud of hers that was pulled on me. That little bit that says "tapped and attacking" for the little guy too? I had a creature-light hand and this mf pulled a Faithless Looting, discarded a freaking Master of Cruelties and overrode its "attacks alone" clause since Alesha revived him the second she attacked. That was an OHKO for my sorry ass on turn 4 and BOY was I not ready for it.

Ignition Team is a fun card in a more agressive less aristocrats version of Alesha. It's a 0/0 that enters the battlefield with +1/+1 counters equal to the number of tapped lands on the battlefield and you can pay a red and 2 and remove a counter to animate a land as a 4/4 elemental in a pinch.

Made her with the Nazgul and double striking creatures. Literally, you can't get rid of them, and the double strike triggers the Ring's last ability twice. Each turn, everyone but me be losing 6 life
