Don't forget that with a Helm of the Host, you can make non-legendary copies of Legendaries. Meaning this little goblin rat can, in fact, make legendaries.

Only if you copy the tokens that Helm of the Host makes so you have to wait technically, there's better things to be doing with Kiki-Jiki then dropping that much mana to clone a legend and waiting till your next turn.

@tankingkinga.ka.re5megamon909 I'm aware but why bother with doing that with Helm of the Host since you only get 1 copy of kiki-jiki per combat from the the helm plus maybe 1 more from OG Kiki making a clone. Just use those cards and clone a Zealous Conscripts to untap Kiki then keep cloning Conscripts infinitely till your opponents are dead

Actually, as far as the red ones go, I think that Zealous Conscripts is the only one that combos with Kiki, all the others have enough limiters that they're not going to do it or require other pieces at least.

@@andrewspears8891 combat celebrant can untap kiki on attack to give you an additional combat. All you have to do is activate kiki during combat to copy celebrant and you can keep going indefinitely

Zealous conscripts literally goes infinite with Kiki jiki. It doesn’t say you have to steal an opponent’s creature so you can keep handing Kiki to yourself forever.

One of my favorite things is building decks with constraints or weird directions. Minsc fling Sethron Free minotaurs Elas Il-kor and Lurrus aristocrats Elenda Voltron Minsc can pump creatures to hit people for a lot, but I like turning my creqtures into fireballs. Sethron makes minotaur tokens whenever a minotaur etbs, and that's cool, but I really like Rageblood shaman because it makes minotaurs 1 of 2 tribes, not counting Morphon, that can reduce the colored pips of creatures. So i lean into that to cast minotaurs for free. Elas Il-kor would make a fantastic aristocrat commander, but pairing him with lurrus gives a fun restriction on deck building when you can't have 3+ cmc permanents. Elenda makes a great battery for an aristocrats decks. But I've built her around equipment and treat her death trigger as a failsafe for removal. "Oh my commander is 30/30? Heaven forbid you kill it and let me swing wide next turn."

I prefer Kiki in the 99. Draws less attention when your commander isn't a known combo piece. when my Temur deck Does defense of the Heart or Tooth and nail, people would not expect Kiki and his Untapper.

I once ended a game with Thornbite Staff + Kiki-Jiki + Goblin Gardener + Phyrexian Altar. It doesn't TECHNICALLY go infinite beyond letting you destroy every opponent's lands endlessly (tap Kiki to copy a Gardener, which destroys a land, then sac the copy to untap Kiki; repeat whenever somebody plays a land and gives up priority). Now that was a JANK list, that has since been completely repurposed into a Zirda land destruction list.

Kiki-Jiki has been heinous since it first came out. I was actively playing when that occurred and even in my fairly young mind I saw the potential of it just because it immediately makes a copy with haste on the turn it comes out.
