There is something much worse than a man waiting for his execution on death row, and that is a woman waiting for her execution. Find out why death row is so much worse for women in today's new video that compares how state executions treat men and women so differently.

I think that children of deathrow people should immediately be put up for adoption since developing a bond with the parent will just lead to emotional scars and mental health issues when the parent is executed.

I feel very sad for that 6year child that was taken away from his mom on death row. I don't have any sympathy for the mother. But just think about its impact on child's mental health. Edit: She had killed 14 members of her family and distant family. Death penalty here in India is only given for rarest of the rare crimes, like serial killer, terrorist etc. And child was free to move in and out of prison. And child was allowed by the court to live with her mother because her lawyer argued that its against basic human rights to separate small Child and her mother.

The baby should be placed in care immediately after birth and not allowed to be raised in prison. The mother committed a crime hideous enough to be sentenced to death and shouldn't be allowed to raise her baby. The six year old that was allowed to be raised by his mother would be aware of her eventual execution and suffer the trauma of being taken away from her and placed in foster care. Had he been removed immediately after birth and adopted unless he was told he would have no idea who his mother was. Everybody stands up for the rights of the murderers but who stands up for the victims or their families?

I agree, a pregnant condemned criminal, shouldn't be allowed to keep her baby. The child should, in order, go to: 1. the father 2. family of the mother 3. family of the father 4. very good friends of either parent 5. adoption. If early enough, the mother should also be able to choose for an abortion, unlikely she would but I believe in free choice in this matter.

I'm not at all surprised about the pregnancy one. Female pirates were known to "plead their belly" when caught and tried. Meaning they would say they were pregnant and be given time to give birth before being hung. This is a pretty old practice.
@charlesvitanza8867
@charlesvitanza8867 2 жыл бұрын
There are even cases where female pirates would lie about being pregnant. To combat that those that pled their belly would be watched until signs of pregnancy were visible. After a reasonable time if they weren't showing they would be tried for perjury on top of the previous piracy conviction.

When death row inmates in America takes 20 to 40 years in America, sometimes even longer, a female inmate would not get pregnant unless it was a prison guard as the father and even then, most likely the KlD would be a adult by the time the execution is to be carried out. I know of a current inmate of death row who has been incarcerated since April of 1990 (just over 30 years) at the union correctional facility where Florida male inmates are placed now of days before execution.

Yes, because locking someone up is sooo helpful for society. Meaning they now exist outside of the law, therefore anyone could walk up to their house and take their stuff or maybe even killing them and it would be illegal for them to defend themselves or their stuff. Well, at 8:16 is a reference to the movie “ the green mile“. i remember seeing that old dark colored 200 year old guy being happy about his execution because of all the pain he had felt. it is worth to mention the film id based on 1950-1970 or when they used electic chairs for execution. it is heart breaking to see a good guy being innocent and getting killed and enjoying the freedom of death. even the guards cried because he was a good guy. and since america was racist at that time they couldn‘t do anything to free him. well, all the bad people had been punished by that point luckily and i really recommend watching the movie. i enjoyed it and hat to cry simply because of how sad and heartwarming the message behind the movie is.

Human rights organizations need to be considerate of a lot; but the justice system needs to be aware that crime is equal on all levels: not just the law based levels. If you commit the crime; you don't deserve leniency for killing someone. I have heard one too many stories of women killing their children and being allowed to walk free from it. As far as I'm concerned; human rights needs to make sure that death row sentences are shortened to less than 20 years; cut down to maybe a month, so the prisoners have far less time on the block, women need to be treated fairly and equally to men while in prison and awaiting their trials and punishments: and the judicial system needs to factor out gender; because its not a fair system when a woman commits a heinous crime and she gets to walk free, but a man doesn't get the same leniency. Again there are a lot of stories I have heard of absolutely evil women killing others and getting away with it because the jury saw woman; rather than seeing lethal killer. I hate saying it like that; but justice accounts in all balances, gender should not be a factor in the judicial system
