With sickle cell you have to eat right. Cut out all fry things, dairy, starch, and red meat. My son is five years young. The doctor say he born with the worse type of sickle cell. Beta zero thalassemia. I did herbal treatment his first two years of life. For him I notice it didn't help much with blood works. What I do is pray and fast. Believe God to keep my son healthy. That's what God did. I'm attacking this disease from a spirtual point of view. I know it's a generation curse in my blood line. Five years on this earth. He haven't got no crisis no sickness nor disease. Actually when I tell people he have sickle cell. They say I'm a liar. God still answer prayers.

He finished the procedure, he had a hard time, with going through chemotherapy to prepare him for the bone marrow transplant. He has testing this upcoming week now that it’s been 1 month since the transplant they will confirm if sickle cell has been cured from his body, will give another update soon. But overall he is now looking much better just takes time

I am 55 yrs old with hemoglobin SC. I had great complications with sickle cell at a young child. As an adult I rarely have issues but I remain under medical care and follow up on my eyes which are SC can compromise organs like the eyes. I stay hydrated, exercise, eat a healthy and balanced diet and try to remove stress from my life as it does bring on cramping in my joints. Praying that everyone afflicted with this disease find comfort and relief.

Wow! Praise God! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 This is a true blessing and a miracle! I have Sickle Cell and have been living with it for almost 40 years. Unfortunately, I don’t have any full-blooded siblings so I would have to find an unrelated donor, which is more risky. I am hope that I will be able to undergo gene therapy to cure my sickle cell and I am praying that it will be a success. You are truly blessed to have been able to get this for your son early on! God is so good! I have 2 boys and I can’t imagine them having sickle cell! I would rather go through the pain any day then to see my children go through this kind of excruciating pain. I am still hopeful that one day there will be a universal for the entire sickle cell community! May God continue to bless you and your family! 🦋💜😍

J. Valenzuela it’s a very risky procedure. It’s not as easy as it seems. You have to go through chemo as well. There is a big chance that you won’t make it. I have sickle cell too and I would refuse as well. I don’t blame him at all.

My advice is, you should go you and your husband for HB electrophoresis to check if both of you have HB s, is both of you probably your kid will have hemoglobin SS.

Are you sure? You mean your hemoglobin before was SS and now is AA? You mean the genetic disorder now is fixed? You mean your bone marrow doesn’t produce sickle cells anymore? How do you come to this conclusion? Did you go for hemoglobin electrophoresis to confirm?

I am delivering a sermon to you 🙏😊 please read Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. The history of how sickle cell came about. The adaptation of the red blood cell into a form of sickle was as a result of severe malaria. Malaria parasites usually feeds on the red blood cells to grow. Severe malaria attacked the black race many many years ago. And so the red blood cell became sickle so that the parasites would not feed on them. Note:malaria parasites do not feed on sickled cell. Usually malaria is mostly found among the black race that is why we have sickle cell mostly affecting black people

@@faithsibit6517 malaria is not “found” in the black race. The mosquitoes that carry malaria are found in the tropics mostly in Africa. African children are not born with malaria, they and adults get infected with malaria by being bitten by an infected mosquito.
