Their food quality standards there are higher due to mall regulation so the food were much better plus every owner have their food quality standards. Still miss their food for the passed 14 years. There's this spot called yummy teriyaki in my local mall. They're straight up just takeout hibachi. They have a huge menu but if you go there during lunch, the whole line is getting teriyaki chicken double meat double sauce with rice. It is insanity. So fuckin good. Been going there for almost ten years now (im 24) and not a thing has changed. Every spot in the food court gone except for them and a chicken sandwich spot that just showed up last year lol.

I’ve never had bad mall Chinese lol that shit always hits the spot. I have had (and lived in places) with wayyyyy shittier Chinese takeout than I’ve ever gotten from a mall. Far from authentic, and certainly not the best Chinese I’ve ever had, but have yet to be disappointed.

Mall Chinese food is like that, it’s either hit or miss, nothing in between. It’s not just alright, it’s either some of the best or disgusting, and I’ve noticed malls that are smaller with most stores shut down or not that popular have the best food in general. When I was in Florida, there was a seafood restaurant inside of a mall in Crystal River. All of the stores had the quality of a child made lemonade stand. The only stores they had that was an actual branded store was K-Mart and GNC and I think a Radio Shack. Everything else was just like a small business type store, most of it was like t-shirt printing or a beauty salon. The building itself was basically a huge circus tent. The restaurant was so good they had to move out of the Mall into an actual restaurant because they got super popular. Another restaurant had to do the same thing, a Steakhouse type restaurant that was in there. Best seafood ever. Never tried the steakhouse.

Gotta be grateful this food is $10. Chinese food got me through tough times

My dad would always talk about how the reason why a lot of these Chinese buffet style places are able to sell foods that cheap is because they would buy the ingredients that were about to spoil. Supermarkets tend to sell vegetables and meats cheaper if they're about to go bad.

There is a hack for the undone fried rice: Place fried rice in a ziploc bag; sprinkle little water in the bag, but don't add too much; place the whole bag on microwavable-safe cover before placing it in the microwave; heat it up for 2 minutes until done; the bag is hot, so be careful when handling the hot bag; finally, either scoop some rice with the big spoon and place it in the bowl or plate or you can pour the fried rice in the bowl or on the plate.
