A lovely little walk from Mallards Pike to New Fancy View Point, walking amongst a few interesting forest trails that radiate from the Mallards Pike Lake Centre. The Go Ape Centre is right next door, and taking the trail north of the lake, with a few twists and turns, takes us to New Fancy View Point, a place where birdwatchers often come to spot rare forest birds, and other birds of prey such as buzzards.
The video finishes back at the lake, completing the circuit clockwise around the water and taking in the sluice runoff at the bottom of the lake.
This trail is ideal for those who can make use of well-maintained trails, or those who cannot go off-road.
