I've been waiting a while to get to this particular pretty wood, because it has such an abundance of flowers and birds, and also because the car park is only open at weekends and Bank Holidays from April-September, 10am-4pm only.
At this time of year you can smell the sweetness of the bluebells in the air, see many tracks of foxes, badgers, and deer, and, being a Royal Society For the Protection of Birds site, see many species of bird such as the Nuthatch, Mistle Thrush, Eurasian Green Woodpecker, and the Nightingale. You can hear many of these in the video.
The walk is around an hour, but I kept it deliberately slow to hear the sounds and see the sights. Enjoy!
