With a big family it’s so important to make sure that you prep for the week whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Or maybe even snacks throughout the day.
When my kids were younger, we had to do a lot of these preps just because we are always on the go with the kids and sports, we homeschooled so that took up a lot of our time and we always worked together as a family just to clean the house up and to prepare for the meals. As my kids got older it just seemed more natural to be more organized because we like I said, are busy. We have a chicken farm, we raise horses, we also have a masonry company and now my son Robert has started his own business and two more of my children are talking about taking over the masonry and then Izzy wants to open up her own breakfast restaurant.
I’m just very thankful that my kids did help me with the cleaning and cooking because I tried to do everything myself and I found that I was just exhausted wearing myself out to where I didn’t appreciate being around my family it almost almost seemed like a burden to take care of them. But once I got us organized, and we had a chore board, we took turns cleaning up the kitchen, making meals. It made life a little easier when we all worked together to make our family life more, smooth
And I am a very organized person and so doing things like this is right up my alley for sure and I thought you know what I bet I can make most of this from scratch. So I made the homemade crackers and my cookies added some protein with the cheese and the the sausage. And I have to tell you my kids love them. They were like little kids again. They grab them for snacks. They took them to school. They took them to their work. They ate them as they were at the barn and taking care of the chickens and they were gone in like four days. So I’m definitely thinking I need to buy more of these containers.
The next weekly snack I’m gonna be doing is I’m going to make homemade Ritz crackers with peanut butter in the middle and I’m gonna make homemade vanilla wafers to go with cheese sticks and some more of the sliced or cubed cheese. I didn’t get to make one these last two weeks because I literally was on vacation three times. But now that life is a little more relaxed. I am so excited to be back into my kitchen trying out new recipes and I’m really really into doing a lot of baking and making different treats from scratch.
I did share in my last two lives my from scratch Cheez-It recipes so make sure to check out that live and grab the recipe and then I also have shared my homemade chocolate chip cookies on another live so scroll down and find that one .

I have a 25 year old son, who lives at home. There is no way he could afford a home of his own right now. My Dad is 91, and is cared for 24/7. I cook for both of them. Its one thing i can do to show that i love them, appreciate them. Cooking is my love language, my joy, my relaxation ❣🤗

Im so sick of the Mom shaming. We are not in a competition on who can do a better job feeding and raising our children. We as women and mothers should always lift each other up. There is enough hate in this world. I think you are a great and amazing Momma and wife. Keep doing what you have always done, and please never try to change cause no matter what you do, you won't please everybody. The only ones you need to worry about are God, yourself, your hubby, and your children. Love you, beautiful! I can't wait for you to have grandbabies. It's a whole new beautiful world and love! You are gonna be an amazing Grandma.

I hate that you get so much hate over feeding your kids when they are old enough to make their own food and feed themselves. The kids are so blessed to have you as their mom. My mom would do the same if she wasn't suffering from health issues. I need to create a few of these for my hubby and I to put in our little cooler on days we have doctors appointments in the town near us that's over an hour away.

Cooking and baking is your love language. It’s just in a mothers nature to want to take care of their babies no matter how old they are. You never need to explain your love for taking care of your kids. Mine are 22 and 15 and if my older son didn’t live 2 hours away from me I would be fixing his lunch and having him over for dinner everyday. He works long hours and I know he gets tired. So I definitely get it. 😊

Food is a love language. I lost both of my parents in the last three years. My Mum was at the point where baking and cooking was more of a chore. I was living with them because it was medically dangerous for me to live alone. I loved cooking and baking so I took over most of that and it was a win for everyone. In the thirteen months between Mum dying and dad dying I would cook the same amount and used the extra three serves as freezer meals so when I wasn't feeling well I just needed to heat it up. I miss having people to cook for. I can't eat a lot of things because I've had all but one metre of my intestine removed over the years. So all that to say that there are many situations where a family member actually enjoys cooking and baking for their loved ones. Some people just have nothing better to do than criticise someone who is a really genuine and kind wife, Mum and friend.

It has always been one of my love languages especially when my son was in Iraq I used to send over dozens and dozens of cookies and many lows of pumpkin bread and zucchini bread and banana bread while he was stationed over there with his unit so many of the guys don't get anything and he said they used to see the package come in and could barely wait for him to get it open because I would ask him what was his friend's favorites and I would send those like no bake cookies and stuff and still even though he's a disabled vet now and he's 41 and my daughter is 39 and I have three growing grandsons it's still my love language every day I cook for them

Mama Bell, don't you worry about nay sayers. Yesterday was a good day with my cancer journey, so Josh (my hunny) and I fixed supper for our daughter's family of 4 with all the trimmings and even made them a Pig picking cake. She works full time 12 plus hour shifts and goes to school full time for nursing. I was/ am a nurse, I feel her and want her to know, no matter how old you are your family has you. ❤😊 Ps tell them to kiss your grits or foot. Love your family your way. I love groot, too.

I love your ideas! I will always cook for my kids even when they are adults. My grandma cooked dinner and baked for all the families when she could and those were some of the best memories I have. Also, I make my own snack trays with carrots, celery and ranch, raw almonds, dark chocolate, meat sticks cut up and hard cheeses. Sometimes I throw garlic stuffed olives in there too. I will often eat that as my lunch. Sometimes I do strawberries, grapes and apples if I want fruit added in. My kids love the snack trays too minus the olives 😆

The way you take into consideration, "the weather, the activities, the work load, the location, the individual" when you are preparing meals.....I just ADORE that about you! I do the same, on a much, much smaller scale, I'm only cooking for 2. But I often look at the weather forecast when meal planning, and I can't help but think about every little detail of what I'm making and what my love might want given certain conditions of his life, whatever they may be. I'm so happy to see others take the same care when cooking for their loved ones! Its A LOT of information to carry around and sort out in your head but it all comes out as a delicious, nourishing masterpiece.

I loved when you said “they don’t know what I’m doing”. My family is always doing surprise showing up and cooking for family members going through a busy season or rough time or bringing premade food, it’s so much fun! We are very much “yeah that’s right I did a nice thing, DEAL WITH IT” because we’re all so fiercely independent most of the time. When your family is so close together, both physically and emotionally, you never stop considering them in what you do. It’s not even hard to do, just naturally happens.

I still treat him like when he was little by doing special things for him to show him how much I love him. He also does sweet things for me. I told him last week he was the jewel in my crown. I wish I was close to the rest of the children but I can't force anyone to love me. I love them all dearly and raising them was the best years of my life. My 30 yr old will ask me to cook certain recipes... he says they taste so much better when mom makes them... I cook for my older children as well when they don't ask... nothing wrong with that at all... it's just ❤️ love

The people whining are jealous. Those who watch see your kids helping and working. They appear to be more capable and independent than many their age. Why on earth wouldn’t you make snacks for them using your talent and passion in the kitchen. It seems like a kind exchange not a dependency of any kind.

Just a suggestion if you put the dough on the baking sheet then cut them while on the sheet, left them up with a spatula to separate. Will cut out the cutting them then transferring. I’m always looking for a short cut.

Very cool! The coffee shop that's on every corner has one that's called a "protein box" it has a hard boiled egg, crackers and grapes. Your kids are very blessed to have a mom who takes time to treat them with home made snacks.

YUM! Maybe some cut up veggies and individual hummus or veggie dip cups. I want to try your cheez it recipe 😋 and I wonder if anyone ever used a pasta machine to roll it super thin...maybe it would stick 🤷 Great video!!!

It doesn't matter how old your kids get, they'll always always be your babies. My daddy used to tell me that all the time as a kid and even as I was in my 20's and 30's. He would always say Lisa Ann your my oldest baby, you'll always be my baby no matter how old you get! I really miss him everyday. I love what you do Mama Bell. God bless. Love your videos. Have a wonderful weekend! ❤

I think it’s nice that you do this. I never had that kind of mom even as a kid. All that matters is if it works for your family.

Great idea & if my kids were home I'd be up cooking them breakfast at 4am & sending them off well fed & with a solid lunch. I'm a little jealous i didn't have that opportunity...
