Hey party people! thanks so much for hanging out with me while i share this new around the house happeni. gs style vlog! it's a day in my life in which I am pretty productive and get some stuff don around the house. I did some cleaning / deep cleaning and cooking as I do every night for dinner, what's for dinner? well, Getman goulash and spatzel - but get this, from scratch! I used to make it all the time but forgot how this time around and boy did I make a mess.. lol

Kimberly you don’t need the vacuum attachment if you have toilet paper rolls. In a pinch you can attach that onto the hose and actually bend and make it the size nozzle you need. ❤❤

Kim you can use a dry paint brush to push all the sliding door gunk to one spot and then vacuum it up, works really great on window sills also

When I was 12, I traveled "alone" meaning w/o my family to London (from France... So a 12 hrs bus trip). And it was amazing! The first time I didn't "need" Mom for everything, the first time I realised English was a Language that people use to speak about nothing... Not just for songs! 🤣 It was a fantastic growing up moment for Baby Me... I was quite a sheltered 12yo, kids grow up faster these days I feel, so yours should be fine. The thing about kids is... I don't remember my life before! I don't remember Not having that accountability and just waking up and going! 😂

My 15 year old daughter is in Ireland right now on a school trip and having a great time. I was able to go on several school trips as a kid and enjoyed them and want my kids to have those experiences as well! My son didn’t have any opportunities to go abroad in high school because of Covid but hopefully he will have opportunities in the future!

I love that you have written down some of your Oma’s recipe. My grandma and mom never wrote down any recipes and now they are both gone I would give anything to have them around to ask how certain dishes were made.

Honestly those trips really are some of the best memories. Getting away with friends. Especially if you trust her. It'll build (or hopefully not break) your trust as she gets older to hang out without your supervision. I went to Italy with my choir for 10 days in high school. So expensive but one of the best experiences I could have ever had!

When I was 13 i went to Prague with a youth group and my sister it was an amazing experience and something I will never forget, we got to do some things alone others as a group😊😊

I went to Europe at 20 but it was a trip through my old high school and I had wanted to go for years but I bought a car at 17 and then saved so I could go and went at 20 (the community only went every 3 years) and I never regretted it for a min. It was a trip of a lifetime.

I am living Germany. Your German is so cute. The spätzle Dough needs to be runny. But I loved to watch you making some German Staples. And your Oma is so sweet ❤️ In Germany, we often dont use Machines, just a wet wooden plate and a knife and "Scratch" little Spätzle right into the boiling water.

I remember going to Washington DC in 2002 (literally 6 months after 9/11). It was our 6th grade field trip. I think back like I can’t believe my mom, super over protective lol, let me go. We have pictures of the pentagon where it got hit. It was an interesting trip but I’m super grateful for the experience!

For the door frame, use a regular bristle broom to sweep everything to the corner then use the vacuum hose to clean up the pile. It's so much easier. (that's what I do for my sliding doors).

Hey Kim! Love you and love your videos! I also love pop sockets! Just to let you know, (because I didn’t know this either) that the pop sockets are interchangeable! You don’t have to remove the sticky part each time. You press down and turn left (might take a few try’s) to loosen and remove. Put the new one on and press down and turn right until it clicks. Hey! Vacuum attachment idea. Use a paper towel or toilet paper roll tapped on that you can flatten a bit. We used to use the wrapping paper rolls to reach up high cobwebs and stuff when I was a kid.

My son and daughter in law are in your area today! They took a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas and are spending the night in Clearwater Beach. Had a wonderful time and they fell in love with Clearwater last year. Hope the weather is good for them. Happy 4th🎉

Kim when I was 12yrs old my Girl Scout group went to Atlantic Georgia for the 96 Olympics. It was the greatest experience and I'm so glad my parents allowed me to experience it. Plus once in a lifetime

You had the grout cleaning tip on your Bissell steam cleaner. If you put the right tip which can scratch the surfaces you use it on. it’s gets easier and quicker to clean with.

My spaetzle is made to a pancake batter consistency. It needs to be a bit more pourable to help with shaping them. I use a measuring cup with a spout and cut with a knife. Pasta is the easiest! We love it and my kids make it on their own now!

My sister and I were in marching band in and in high school we had several opportunities to travel that we wouldn't have had otherwise. I sent my son to camp when he was around 10 or so. He loved it. We were rule followers, so everything was great!

A good time to brush up on our history. The people who settled here and why. They wanted freedom to practice their religion.. they wanted to be free from a kings high taxes before they became peons. They wanted the separation of church from state.. it's a good day to read the declaration of independence. Men fought and died for freedom from 167 years of a kings rule. I wonder what they would think about the USA today which was built by immigrants. We want to enjoy the day but we should remember there's more to it than just parades and fireworks..i love this channel Kim makes everything fun. Funny, Ihave the same feeling on the Bissell steam shot, I think I've used it 3 times in 2 years and only because I remember & make myself. It's fine, but definitely not necessary and easier to just grab a rag. Now the rechargeable rotating scrub brush thing for the shower, I use that all the time and will I'd puschased earlier!

Oh my gosh, I think I laughed a thousand times. I feel the same way. Raised 4 boys, so understand completely the laundry hustle and lived in feel of the house. I've made Hungarian goulash for years, and used to make noodles for it with my mother, possibly Amish style. We'd hang them off backs of chairs to dry. Love the goulash! Easy to make, delicious!

🤭 the Späzel Mess! I am German I make them too always myself . I do not use the press. I put the Dough ( should be more „runny“) on a cutting board. Use the knife to scrape the dough from the edge of the wooden board into the boiling water. Push the little scrap offs into the hot water. Size of the Spätzle you can vary - how ever you prefer them. Continue to do this until you have enough in your pot. Let simmer for a few minutes get the spätzle out with a slotted spoon and do the process again. My Oma used to make them for me and my Sister with some rye flour slightly browned in butter and applesauce. Very delicious to us!! Love your videos! Long time watcher!

KIM - OK don't laugh when you cannot find the attachment for your vacuum grab an empty TP or Paper towel roll and fold it to fit in the groove to use while placing the other end in your vacuum hose. That would have worked wonders to do the groove. Also I throw an unmatched sock on the steam shot and then you can toss it in the garbage. Can you tell I too often cannot find the parts I am looking for :)
