Hwasa/Wheein: "MAMA make some noise" [2021 MAMA] MAKE SOME NOISE!. this is legit how the show is titled. they used the quote but didn't invite Mamamoo to perform and it's mind boggling that they get so little time while they are a senior group. i'm not saying to get 37 minutes like BTS in MMA 2019. but they should get like 12-15 minutes to do 4 mini solo cayse they have solo projects to show, and 2 full group songs

I remember when this performance came out, everyone in the group did amazing, but queen Hwasa stole the show. She slayed. Her red outfit and strutting in heels. Another hot performance Hwasa did is MAMA with Maria. Her outfit is on point,

I will never not be obsessed with their 2018 MAMA performances. They stole the whole show and made it into their own concert. Crazy to think this was the first time they were ever invited there so they really showed them what they been missing out on. Hwasa killed everyone with this performance, and I watch it all the time. I’m praying we get them back for the year end award shows because they need these performance queens to get the crowd hyped.

Too bad you watched the cut version that left out Moonbyul's solo. MNET did Mamamoo dirty by uploading a bunch of short vids showing the solo sections or the group songs or this 7 min version but not their full 8 minute performance. Here's a link to the full thing: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y7tme8Sj08-Zc5s.html Believe it or not this was Mamamoo's debut performance at a MAMA award show. Dunno how they got left out in previous years but I guess that's life when you're not a Big 3 (or these days Big 4) group. Their concept for this show-stopping performance rarely seems to get noticed or mentioned so I'll try to summarize it. This is basically a mini-version of their 4 Seasons S/S concerts where each member was highlighted with a solo stage and they performed the Spring & Summer title tracks in the 4 Season 4 Color project. For their wardrobe they chose the Summer color Red, which stands for Passion in the 4S4C color scheme and as you can tell that's what they brought to the stage. Hwasa's outfit stirred up a shit storm of criticism in Korea for being too sexy, to the point where RBW felt compelled to issue a statement saying they didn't see a problem with what she wore and clarifying that the girls had chosen their own clothing, probably because the stylists were being unjustly accused of forcing her to wear something some people considered inappropriate. Hwasa said nothing but for their next award show performance a few days later she showed up dressed in black lingerie as tho to say "If you thought the red outfit was too sexy then how do like this one, bitches?!" That's our girl. Gotta love her. It put a smile on my face to watch IZ*ONE being gobstruck by Solar's pole dance and fangirling in the background during Wheein's solo. Moonbyul invited IZ*ONE member Chaewon to sub for RV Seulgi in her solo song Selfish that this vid left out. If you're an I*ZONE fan you might want to look for the cute vid of the members talking about it and being jealous of Chaewon.

The reason Moonbyul's part got cut off is because during those time Mnet was having beef with Izone, It's petty but hey, Korean companies have always been petty like that. I think the full vid now is uploaded but unfortunately reactors see the first one.

it's not about being part of big 3 or 4. it's about what is popular and what brings viewership. BTS bring the most viewership and that's why they get 37 minutes performance in MAMA 2019.

@@SapiaNt0mata What does BTS in 2019 have to do with the previous years? As for popularity in 2016 You're the Best was a #1 song with 8 music show wins (6th most wins that year) and Decalcomanie had 1 music show win. You're the Best had more wins than BTS's BS&T, MAMA's choice for 2016 Song, MV & Artist of the Year. In 2017 Yes I Am had 7 wins, 10th best that year. As for viewership MAMA went viral for their performances at the 2016 & '17 Blue Dragon award shows. I think they more than proved themselves on both counts so there's another reason for not being invited before 2018. Lack of clout is my best guess.

there’s a 2 version. At that time apparently mnet(if im not wrong) had problems with red velvet so they cut out moonbyul’s part.

There was a controversy regarding the IZOne group so they cut off Moonbyul’s stage because the girl that sang Seulgi’s part was in that group

I realized right away, when Hwasa came on I'm like where's Moonbyul's part?! I think he might have picked the wrong one, or something I mean I know IZ*ONE's Chaewon was covering Seulgi's part but that doesn't mean to just cut it out!

There’s a video with the full performance since it was live, but they had to re-edit the video without the girl who Moobyul did the performance with because she got caught in a scandal and ended up getting kicked out of her group.

racism is so common in Korea that its never a big deal and that’s the problem almost all gen’s did something racist I mean name group and you could probably find at least two occurrence’s - if it happens a lot doesn’t mean it’s ok bts ,twice,oh my girl ,gidle, exo, red velvet, monsta x ,blackpink literally Lisa just apologised about wearing braids last year after a fan told her about it in a call do you actually think she would’ve apologised about it haven’t she was put in the spot? and now what we see jennie wearing cornrows like it’s nothing you have to question do they really care? or just shape shift every time to suck couple off bucks- streams out of you? or when Teddy added Quran to a song you don’t know how much disrespect that is in islam and i don’t hear anybody talking about it !! 4gen are no better neither

This was 2017, they dressed up like Bruno mars, put darker foundation on, (Bruno mars isnt black, but its still wrong of course but they didnt had bad intensions, they did it because they love him and wanted to perform looking like him) their fans told them it was wrong and why and they took down the video and did 4 or 5 public apology and Hwasa was handed the lyrics to read out loud from a song with the n-word in it and she just read from the paper, this was 2015 and she never said it since then. They are great people that done misstakes just like everyone. They have done so much good things for this industry and use their social media to talk about many important subjects.
