Dude, Sylver, Hwasa is always the biggest surprise when people get into Mamamoo. She was a surprise for me too. Hwasa on and off stage are practically two completely different people. I'm an extreme introvert, so I tend to be very soft-spoken, but I swear Hwasa is most soft-spoken and "low-key" person I've ever seen on TV. She's the sweetest, kindest soul and she DOES NOT deserve the amount of sh*t she gets for something she cannot control, which is her body type or skin tone. It's so incredibly unfair that this is the case. A lot of people know the name Hwasa even if they don't know Mamamoo or Kpop even, and it's because she earned this level of recognition with f*cking hard work. Everyone tried their best to stop her from making a name for herself, but here she is, one of the richest most well-known female idols, not only on Korean but worldwide. I sound angry. Lol. But it's not with, of course. This topic is just very touchy for Moomoos. So, yeah. I'm glad you enjoyed the guide and got to see 0.5% of why we love these girls so much. For this group, you don’t need to pick a bias: they all sound so unique yet harmonize so well together. No one can stop them, they loving each others so well, you can’t bully one of them as others 3 will come and attack you, that’s how they protecting each others. There are some sad story among them as how far they come. You will know and appreciate them more after watching the part 2 introduction. They are truly the 4 vocal queen, 4 rapper, 4 dancer, 4 performer, 4 songwriter, 4 comedian. They have a fans song called I Love Too which was written by them for fans.

As you can see, a bias is not needed with this amazing group. These 4 have formed a very special bond with each other. None of them really fit into the South Korean beauty standards. They have used their platform and songs to encourage self love, self confidence and empowerment .

They all shy at 1st tho also I laughed when u called Hwasa loud cause she's actually the calmest one In the group she has her moments but usually she's quiet one. It's on stage where she becomes LOUD and gives you your money's worth. Definitely hard to choose a bias in this group. Those who like to express hatred are not humans, bro.Moreover, people who don't know she only have reasons to dislike she's.Keep looking for mistakes until drop that person's name, bro, and that doesn't only happen to Hwasa, for example Soojin from (G)Idle, she left the group because of a statement from someone who knew Soojin.In the past, she had bullied someone even though it was just a false statement, but she's name had been tarnished., so the company tried to cover everything from the Public and expelled Soojin without any explanation to protect the name of the agency or company

Also there is nothing wrong with having more than 1 bias or a permanent bias wrecker.. or them being OT4 (One True 4 - All being your bias). Pretty much no K Pop group has all members being so close on bias favourite numbers than Mamamoo.

Don't worry about picking a bias - even if you do you'll get bias wrecked on a regular basis. Many moomoos are OT4. Based on my experience either a bias picks you as you get to know them and their music or you love them all equally. For me it's Solar cuz she's the one who makes me cry when they do ballads. Hwasa wore the red outfit during Mamamoo's viral debut appearance at the 2018 MAMA award show. The iconic JYP collab occurred the following year at the 2019 MAMA award show. There was so much controversy over the red outfit that their label RBW felt compelled to issue a statement saying they didn't see a problem with what she wore and clarifying that the members had chosen their own wardrobe - the stylists were getting blamed. Hwasa didn't make a public statement but as you saw for their next award show performance she wore black lingerie as if to say "If you thought the red outfit was too sexy then how do you like this one, bitches?!" That's our girl. Hwasa has received an inordinate amount of hate but from the beginning the Mamamoo members have never fit into Korean or kpop standards regarding beauty, fashion, gender roles, sexuality or polite behavior by proper young female idols and consequently they're one of the biggest shit magnets in kpop. The members were plucked from the pile of audition rejects and retreads from other companies and it's very possible that none of the members would have debuted if RBW hadn't had the novel idea of selecting the members based on their vocal talent, performance skills and creativity and promoting them as artists rather than the usual formula of picking girls whose looks and skills fit a pre-conceived marketing concept such as cute, innocent, sexy or girl crush. Solar failed about 50 auditions because she was thought to be too old (she was over 20), as you saw Hwasa was sent packing from at least one audition where she was bluntly told she was fat and ugly, and Moonbyul & Wheein signed with RBW after failing to debut with another company. They're strong women who stand up for themselves and express their beliefs and opinions about issues most idols avoid but they've never cultivated a "bad girl" image and instead use their platform to spread empowering messages of self-love and acceptance of others for their uniquness. It sounds like you're going to watch part 2 of Moo YT's 2022 guide. I'd also recommend a new vid called Why Mamamoo Is the Most Underrated Kpop Group. The crazy thing is that Hwasa isnt loud. Even in her stage persona, she isnt loud. It's crazy because in her silent confident gestures, people interpret her charisma as "loud" even when she sits still. That's pure presence and it's funny how many people really get her wrong at first glance.

Idol groups don't cover Mamamoo too often because most of their songs are too hard. For crossovers Yoohyeon and Dami covered Peppermint Chocolate, and during a live Yoohyeon just casually pushed out the chorus to I Miss You which elevated my respect for her abilities three notches, you'll get why during Killing Voice. Dreamcatcher has been on Moonbyul's radio show twice, and now you're wondering if anyone survived the SuA/Moonbyul interactions... And yeah when you get to Red Velvet SuA guest hosted on Wendy's radio show for about a year. They really do all know each other.

Moonbyul had me from the start as bias. Solar became bias wrecker with Egotistic. Mamamoo- Solar vs Looser Crew (Byul, Wheein, Hwasa). MoonSun/Yong Kong Byul Kong (Byul and Yongsun) = bicker. Wheesa (Wheein and Hwasa)= two young girls. When they debuted in 2014, Solar was 23, Byul was 21, Wheein was 19 and Hwasa was 18. Now, solar is 32, Byul is 30, Wheein and Hwasa are 28. Solar- Feb 21,91 (Pisces) Byul- Dec 22, 92 (Capricorn) Wheein- April 17,95 (Aries) Hwasa- July 23,95 (Leo) Solar was going to give up on being an idol. She auditioned like 30 times. Despite her obvious vocal power she was ignored because she was “to old”. Most idols start training as teens, but Solar starred her training later and thus “to old”. Solar is 100% when she does something, but she is also a homebody. She is an Intovert but you would not know it. She and the other members- especially Byul and Hwasa argued at the beginning. she was not use to being the leader since she is the youngest in her family. Moonbyul- years of vocal training to then have to become a rapper was hard on her. Byul and Yong argued a lot, but now they support and understand each other. Byul shows up a lot in Solar’s KZfaq channel. Byul is the oldest of her siblings so she was use to looking out for people. She is an Extrovert. She doesn’t believe music and dance should be limited to genre.Byul does have her own KZfaq channel that Solar appeared on once. She did a car camping sort of thing that her female idol friends appeared in. Solar, Seulgi, purple kiss members were just a few. Byul has a group chat with other idols born in 1992 (Jin, Ken, Hani are a few) Moosical and 4 seasons concerts are chefs kisses. Especially the solo stages of 4 seasons and immortal song medley. Their duality is crazy together and on variety shows, but shy at other times. Hwasa creates her own beauty standard since her not fitting in to the Korean beauty style was why other companies passed. Hwasa is an extrovert for sure and her gaining in confidence brought that out. Most people look into Mamamoo because of Hwasa. I love that Wheein and Hwasa are the school best friends that not only achieved their idol dreams but ended up doing it together in the same group. Each member of Mamamoo gives their own color to the group on and off stage. They all live on their own, they don’t live in a dorm like many idols do. Solar does have her older sister as a roommate (though that may have changed), Byul has one of her younger sisters as a roommate. I have a friend that is a Wheein bias. Wheein has a KZfaq channel too Whee in the _blank__ Wheein is an intervert and i Identity with that. an introvert myself that goes crackhead with my closest friends or when comfortable. (When my friends and I get together Chaos ensues and it just gets more chaotic with alcohol.) I also went to school for art so I feel artist Wheein. Mamamoo TV was just as great as Dreamcatcher Notes for the behind the scenes stuff and show sowing how they are when not performing. Their MooMoo trips and group anniversary trips are great things to watch. Thanks to SuA when I hear Maria I don’t picture or hear Hwasa.. I have HellBora in my head instead.. HIP has clear reference to the airport bra/no bra with the President Hwasa dress inappropriate for airport. The greedy hair, painties showing line was a take this sort of verse. I basically say that HIP was a song ment to partially stick it to the critiques/haters . There was one time where Solar was criticized for something she wore to a show and the next show she came out in a pant suit with a just a bra under the jacket as a stick it moment. Solar and Hwasa specifically will do certain things just to stick it to the media/netizens.

With Solar... it's hard to tell when she is just being crazy, or she is trying to get her sisters(members) to laugh. Make them relax etc... She does both and you just can't tell. Love her.

To clarify.. and defend my bias.. Solar can be incredibly deep when she wants to be. You're right, she does appear to not have a filter, but in a good way. And she has actually been the face of beauty products before.. even found a life-size cardboard cut-out of herself in Tokyo once in the beauty section.
