Sk8er Boi, she did that during the My Con world tour, between the Pheonix and LA concerts last year, that location is in the US. She decided she needed the challenge of doing a cover during a concert tour, she said she practiced every day through the US tour for it. All of her covers are great, one of the reasons she is my bias. Disney should hire her to sing every princess song, she is suited to all of them. Changsub and Solar are friends but during this year of this video they were both in the Musical Mata Hari. There are more switchups on solarsido, all are good. Changsub was great doing the mamamoo songs, but Solar doing the moonbyul raps was great

thank you for reacting on such short notice!!! fun fact but in most solarsido videos, moonbyul is almost always there. she’s named as colleague 1. back when solar and changsub was doing the part change, they were also doing a musical together as well. if you watched the part change with ft island lee hongki, he was also in the same musical,, both guys played as her love interest.

Actually she sang speechless in live. And all the fandoms were literally speechless when she sang high notes after high notes. And about changsub; he’s from the group called btob and they have the same vibe as mamamoo from vocal and performance to crackheadness. And they played the main couple in mata hari.(solar’s first musical) And we moomoos and melody(btob fandom) both fandoms have been asking for a collab for so long. The only thing we got closest to collab is that they sang each other’s songs. Btob sang you’re the best and mamamoo sang it’s okay(the song changsub said that his favorite) Also mamamoo were called girl btob and btob were called boy mamamoo. Oh my moomoo and melody heart❤❤😅😅😊

Great way to celebrate Solar's birthday. As you probably noticed after a while Skater Boi wasn't live. It would be great if she'd do "official" covers of Believer and Speechless but one of the things I like about her a cappella covers is that they're so casual. They were shot in some random room at RBW rather than a recording studio and the audio is equally lo fi, using whatever mic is on the phone or camera Moonbyul uses. She filmed the Speechless cover when she was still learning the song prior to performing it at KCON LA in 2019 and didn't release the vid on Solarsido until after they returned. You gotta watch the KCON version, btw, and try to find a fancam that includes the pre-song video she filmed to make the song more personal. If you then go back and listen to the Solarsido vid again you'll notice it shows her experimenting with phrasing and dynamics so the vid is a snapshot of one stage in her process of honing a cover for performance. It's a totally different thing altogether than the terrific cover Siyeon filmed in a recording studio and I think it's pretty cool that Solar feels comfortable with showing us a warts and all unpolished rendition during the practice stage. Love your idea of a MMM X BtoB concert with swapped songs and switched up member combos. I don't know why Solar and Changsub haven't released a duet. He's her best male friend and their vocal and personal chemistry is obvious. Is Cube just as clueless as RBW about the possibility of chart topping collab songs by their mega talented singers?

Speechless was Solar's solo at Kcon. There is video, but the sound quality is poor. I really like the rawness of the acapella version. Solar being willing to show herself at the point she is still learning the song is also really neat.

solar also had her birthday fan meeting today and she was deadly ngl. btw solar and hwasa are also having the solo albums soon, solar is probably before june and hwasa is way earlier. all ik is that solar and hwasa has started preparing for their solo albums
