We're headed on an out of this world adventure! In this episode, Molly and Alan went to SPACE. (Ok, the Kennedy Space Center.) They spoke to MULTIPLE astronauts (not exclusively about Armaggedon), took a tour of the rocket garden and launch sites, and got a sneak peak of a tasty event. Come along on this all new adventure -- and to see if the KSC is worth a visit!
Thanks to Kennedy Space Center for inviting us out to explore the complex and preview the Taste of Fall event! We had a lunarious time. (Our opinions are our own.)

We use pens because graphite is conductive. You do not want random pieces of graphite tumbling through the cockpit connecting random circuit and causing fires in space.

I love it when you guys go to places that are off the beaten path. Most people forget that the Kennedy Space Center is an option for a day trip when they visit central Florida. I'm sure Alan was in his element the same way that Molly was in her element when they went to Medieval Times. How about Mammoth Club does Icon Park?

We have loved, loved, loved our trips over to Kennedy Space Center. I can't tell you how excited I am that you did this. The sheer size of the VAB and the Saturn V rocket blew me away. I'm a space girlie , like Alan. This all makes me giddy. THANK YOU!

Apparently I am more of a space girlie than I thought. This started me down an internet rabbit hole. Of the first 30 astronauts NASA hired there are six left. The youngest is 88. If you grew up in the sixties the space program was such a big deal it’s hard not to be a bit of a space nerd. It’s been a moving experience to see the space program and NASA grow over the decades. It has been awe inspiring and heartbreaking. This really made me want to visit KSC. Seeing a launch always was on the bucket list. Thanks, Molly and Alan.

This is so fascinating. I went to KSC about 15 years ago and loved it. As a kid, there was nothing I wanted more than to go to Space Camp and become an astronaut one day. Seeing the launch sites, seeing the rocket garden, everything here was just amazing. I'd love to go back to see how much things have changed and progressed, but in the meantime I'm watching this video absolutely fascinated.

I went to KSC one time and asked the astronaut who was meeting people about the whole pen/ pencil thing and he said the pencils weren't actually a good option, because the graphite dust they give off can get into the electronics and mess them up. It's one of the reasons the Americans worked so hard to find a different option.

My husband and I were there this week (Monday & Tuesday) and we kept referring to it as Space Disney. We'd been to Huntington Space Center and the National Air & Space Annex in Chantilly VA to see Discovery earlier this year, and Kennedy blew them both out of the water. I highly the extra $25/person for the KSC explorer tour, and taking two days if you're a real space nerd. We had an awesome time, and plan to come back again next year to watch a launch.

I went with a friend on a long road trip to see the launch of the final mission of the space shuttle Endeavour in 2011 - I had no idea what to expect either and it was a real party. Went to KSC during COVID so didn't get to experience the whole experiences which sucked. They were building the Gateway building at the time which was spectacular looking (was just steel beams at that time). Didn't know at that time what is was going to be. The Atlantis experience was just incredible! The launch pad tours were closed and that's one of the things I was wanting so bad to see. Good to know that everything is open again. Didn't look like it was too crowded either. Thanks for the video it was nice to see that you all ventured out from Orlando and think you should do it more often. You should do a sea turtle nesting tour, you go out on the beach with a professional guided tour and watch sea turtles lay eggs, then they will dig up the nest count the eggs then mark the area for protection, it’s very cool to be a part of.
