Man Accused of Executing Surfers on Mexico Vacation Confessed to Brutal Murders: Girlfriend

Three surfers vacationing in Mexico went missing on April 27 after enjoying a day in the ocean off the coast of Baja California. Authorities said Jack Carter Rhoad, an American citizen, and Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson were found dead two weeks later at the bottom of a well. The suspected killer is in custody and his girlfriend claims he admitted to the murders. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie breaks down the latest in the case.

The original location they went to is a resort area that is very inexpensive and a lot of people from California (especially the San Diego area) go to it. It’s painted as “safe” compared to other parts of Baja California and the rest of Mexico. I think the victims were under the impression it was a “safe vacation area” like it is painted out to be. Unfortunately that leads to vacationers being targets .

Mexico is and always has been a dangerous place to travel to. I went to Mexico once back in the early 80s and the fact it was advised to stay in resort locations only was my one and done. RIP to the victims 🕊️

I am also Australian and if you think this was about tyres, you need to expand your knowledge of Mexico. I used to be friends with a Mexican woman while we were studying at University of Sydney and she told me a few stories about her country that shocked me. I am assuming by your word 'senseless' that you have believed the narrative of the MSM. My condolences to the families of the victims. I am also from Australia and sadly, when we travel we are often targeted due to our friendly and trusting nature. I will be a lot more vigilant from now on ! RIP

Come on now. We are not targeted specifically. These guys were in Mexico. That's not a safe place. What about all the European and British backpackers who come here? How many times have their murders been in the headlines? Do you see them saying 'As Europeans we are being targeted?'

It is actually very common to get killed for anything material in a 3rd world poor country . They will kill you while stealing a cellphone , sunglases etc really for anything .

We don’t even want to go to beaches here anymore, so if what you want is cheap beach vacation or being able to drink because you are older than 18 but not 21 yet, come at the risk that something may happen. But in general, don’t come.
