Just had a lifelong drinker turn his life around. And a forty year old "kid" whose mom paid for a year long rehab. Both seem to have not only made it, but dropped a whole box of bad habits of a lifetime. But that is RARE, ..... UNICORN RARE. My seven decades these are the only two I know.

@@user-zf3xb3qx8w Well it’s a nice story. Believe me there are a lot of people out there who have changed their lives for the better. From my personal lens of life I find a big faction of people who did turn their life around successfully or/and against all odds did so quietly and had little need to appear in spotlight such as this story. But I think this persons story is the rarer one as I believe truly believe in general people are good.

From my personal lens and perspective in life, I have found that the majority of people who have changed their lives do so with grace and quietly. These people who do it more quietly aren’t usually counted. So while it seems rare that people don’t change their lives for the better, here in New York City there are just countless people who have transformed their lives for the better. This case with this man is a very rare situation I think we shouldn’t sensationalize this as we tend to do. Also it’s important to look at other cultures who have much less crime then we do because we tend to normalize a lot of things here that don’t happen in the rest of the world very often. We also have very little exposure to other cultures in a meaningful way here in the US case in point is the majority of us don’t speak a second language.

I thought he was guilty because of the body parts found in the freezer in his apartment and because of the video footage. But he says he is innocent, so now I dunno
