A man (later identified as Edward Adcock) lunges at Diana during a visit to Northumberland but is stopped by police and is arrested. Adcock later said he meant no harm - he just wanted to hug Diana. 13.4.89. RARE FOOTAGE

@@dallasyap3064 assassination? I’ve never heard that theory before, and what would be the reason?
@dallasyap30643 жыл бұрын
@@nosoysauce1670 one of the conspiracies was that her car accident was a planned assassination, with some rumors saying it was allegedly arranged by the Royal family, bcoz of her dating an Egyptian man, that's a muslim also. The cameras nearby the tunnels were disabled. Also reports that the brake of the vehicle was disabled too, which is why it crashed, bcoz the car was speeding away from the paparazzis, and the driver was a little intoxicated if not mistaken, so driving too fast and losing control without brakes, so the car crash. But its just a one of the conspiracies, no solid evidence to prove it yet.

A lot is said of Diana's humanitarianism, her compassion and her mental health battles But she also had courage and strength and this shows it. A lot of other people would be understandably shook up by that incident but she just carried on
@self-sufficient9315 Жыл бұрын
Her mental health showed that she was normal. Anyone going through what she went through will disturb them this does not mean they are not strong in real life. Don't get confused by media describing it as depression, it was actually her getting effected by the negative environment along with her strong self dealing with it. Not all people can deal with what she had to deal with. In my eyes along with being a best personality moral wise, she kept her inner beauty intact and never thought of becoming bitter or jealous or harm others who hurt her. She is an example of strong people.

Wow...she handled that like a champ! She never took her eyes off him but no real change in expression. She just stepped back and let her body guards take care of him and they did a good job. I think the witness is talking about the her body guard having a gun inside his coat. Do they carry guns? Sorry, I'm in the U.S. so I don't know if they do or not. He said he didn't know it would "finish up this way." I doubt he meant her harm but really, did he think he could just go past the barrier and say, "Let's have a hug?" to the Princess of Wales? I wonder what happened when he tried to hug Flo-Jo?

I imagine that was his excuse. Even if he did just want to hug her, and wasn't deliberately trying to get himself in the headlines, he has to understand, as you rightly imply, that permission is sought first from people you don't know!!! Especially public figures who security worry will be attacked, what does he expect to happen if he lunges at her?! He was either doing a publicity stunt, or he has some sort of mental health/emotional health condition or something. Diana was a fairly hands-on person, I'm sure she would have given him a small amount of physical contact at least if he had requested it. Lunging at her was not on, you could see she was startled.

@touchofmagic100 - During the official Canadian Royal tour in June/July 1983, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited Edmonton, Alberta. On June 29th, two days before Diana’s 22nd birthday, They were guests of honor at an evening barbecue at the historic recreation of Fort Edmonton. The invitation requested “Dress semi-formal, Klondike Era”, reflecting the annual celebration in Edmonton of the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush. Both royals wore period ensembles for this event.
