Man dies after jumping in Bellagio Fountains

Las Vegas police say a man drowned after going for a swim in the world-famous Bellagio Fountains. Astrid Mendez reporting.

I still do care. Wish there was a life preserver or something near. Would have jumped in. He was a large man and I didn’t want him to drown me by trying to help. Terrible situation overall, but you saying I didn’t care makes it even worse

Charlie and the ... There may have been a suction drain that pulled and/or kept him under. Suction can be deadly, as in pools or beach undertow/ backwash. Normally a person that can swim knows how to float or tread when tired. He may also have lost confidence or froze up from fear or was intoxicated. Hope he is at peace.

Oh well, you do something stupid.... you know what I mean. And don’t give me that “A man just died, don’t you have a heart?” reply, I wouldn’t stand in the middle of a freeway so why would someone with a right mind jump on an artificially made body of water. You don’t know what kind of mechanisms are down there or how deep it is.

shallowest, near the street viewing area is about 3-4 feet deep. As you head out, it progresses to around 13 ft.

The Bellagio fountains are unsafe. The fountains are dangerous and need to be removed immediately or people will keep dying. These fountains are the most dangerous thing in Nevada. The Bellagio doesn't care about people at all. It's their fault. And yes, I'm being completely sarcastic.
