There were very few individuals that had any idea that Terry had a finite amount of money. He was a genuine Whale, and this is America. He was free to spend his money if he so desired. And they were free to cater to his every whim. He never left the property. The shady loan shouldn't be collectible, because they knew then that he was getting in way over his head. He sounds like he was super lonely and he went from 0 - 100MPH. In one of the easiest ways to spend millions in the blink of an eye. The only place that rewards and gives player points for debauchery With numbers like that - they should have just torn up the $17M IOU

@@MK-U-N As a bartender you are held liable for the people you over-serve. So if a bartender over serves someone, and they leave and get hurt OR hurt someone else, the bartender is in trouble. And it's illegal to sell more booze to someone who is visibly drunk. You also cant sell bottles of booze to visible drunk people at, say, a gas station. However it might be different from state to state.

You should look up the guy who burned card tables at a casino at Resorts World Manila. The guy had guns and didn't shoot any gamblers, but killed many because people ran into a restroom where they died from smoke inhalation. Including a wife of a politician who was prohibited from being there in the first place. There's much more to it, too. It truly was a crazy event. I know a couple who was there when it happened.

Yeah, same with one of my grandmas and my father, though his was a mix of gambling, alcohol, drug and sex addictions. I remember countless times being 8-15, sitting in crappy casino arcades for 8 hours, while my grandma/dad lose all their money. Was always shitty casinos in Reno, with a ton of creepy old people trying to talk to me lol.

Ugh... gambling has the highest suicide rate by far, of any addiction. To hear the casino wasnt cutting him off.. thats literally illegal and if he were to drive, the servers/casino would've faced criminal charges. I normally don't feel bad for rich people... but he didn't deserve that.

I use to fill the ATMs at that horseshoe casino in council bluffs Iowa all the people were very sad and it was one of the only ATMs that give you 100 dollars bills and the service fee per transaction was like 15 dollars per transaction.

I went gambling once. Spent around 50 dollars, and won 200. You KNOW I left right then and there, GAINING 150 in profit. I do gamble every now and then, once or twice a year, and put exactly 150 hard limit in what I spend. If I get nothing, oh well. It's not much. If I win some, or break even, hey, not bad. If I get more, let's go. I'm still leaving. I can't IMAGINE getting addicted.
