Years ago a friend of mine asked me to look at a car being advertised for sale ,being a mechanic I was more than qualified the car was good and relatively new I was a bit suspicious because the price was way below book value , the guy wanted a $500 deposit l said give $50 we will be back the next day to pay the balance , long story short he didn’t even own the car ,took deposits from a number of people. Never was able to catch up with the guy . My friend and I assume every one else lost their money. ,
