So I've been doing more research on adoption, and apparently, the system makes it very difficult to adopt. We need to change that. I think people should have mental evaluation to adopt but we should not have to pay in order to nurture & help an adoptee child grow!

If I needed a child I could get a sperm donor and agree to be responsible for the child myself, unless mister right came along. But what I see far too often is women being used and abused and played for suckers. That ain't right but it's part of male culture. There is no incentive for women to continue the species in this current timeline. The men are complete trash and our reproductive rights are being rolled back by the very same men claiming that it's our duty. ‘ becoming a parent is a selfless act’? Completely untrue. Kids don’t ask to be born. Men and women force kids into this world…a world that doesn’t gaf about them, their survival, ability to thrive, or mental/physical health. I have kids and I was selfish for having them because they have to grow up in this trash world with trash people who are evil. Choosing not to have kids is a merciful and selfless act.

To the guy that said it’s our duty as humans to procreate….I must laugh. My duty is to live my life for MYSELF, to do what I want to do, to put myself FIRST. All of that goes out of the window if I have kids, I will no longer be first place in my own life & that sounds torturous. My duty in life is to reach self-actualization & to put my well being first before anyone else’s.

He doesn’t think about that this planet is deteriorating. So why keep procreating for a planet that is going to swallow up in flames anyways. Plus, we all gonna die anyways. So why continue to populate the earth just for us to die. And with all the schools getting shot up alone in america and no one is doing anything about it or cares about it, that is more reason for it to be pointless to continue to populate the world. And his mentality leads to more kids end up in foster care, trafficked or sold off for slavery. Because alot of people feed into his mentality and find out they didn’t want kids and wasn’t interested in being a parent. This world doesn’t give af about children, so why do we need to continue to bring children into it to end up suffering anyway.

If a woman choses to have children good for her, but with all the drama and relationship problems not to mention domestic violence I see the child free lifestyle catching on. I'm a 59 year old African american Black man. I have a son and daughter, neither have children, I always told them not to have children until they had good educations, careers and about 200K saved up that was in 1999. Today I'd increase the savings to 500k. Florida is a very expensive state and they live in the palm beach area. I also told them there's nothing wrong with having sex if they chose to just don't have children.

I can’t recall a day where she wasnt violently screaming in my face over something small. Or things that weren’t even my fault. When people keep trying to convince my childfree self to have children, i always ask them: “Are you gonna take care of my kids if i have them?” And they get confused when i ask them. And then i respond with, “well, if I don’t want kids and not interested in being a parent, why are you trying to convince me to have something and do something i’m not interested in? Because the only logical decision is to give my children to those who constantly try to tell me having kids is the best decision of my life since they are more adamant about me having kids than i am.” That’s when they stop talking about it and move on to another subject. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I watched a video yesterday of a baby resting next to his mom just staring at her with this loving adoration, it was the sweetest and purest thing I've ever seen. I cried because that's an experience I would have loved to have. I think I would have been a very good mom. But at almost 40, I haven't been with the right man to share that experience with. My last ex, who was a friend of 26 yesrs, told me he couldn't get anyone pregnant, said by his doctor. He had no problem knocking up a woman he was juggling me with. She moved to a different state and he wasn't helping financially. That's the last I heard. And that's exactly what I never wanted to see my child go through. My own dad once told me he didn't want kids (pretty easy to tell by his treatment). And with the condition of this world.. my heart hurts for the children and what they've been through psychologically especially the past few years. This world is not what we think it to be. And there are so many broken children walking around in adult bodies. I feel at this point my greatest contribution to my potential child is to protect them from a life of suffering in this dumpster fire.

I raised my children alone and they’re awesome beings- daughters AND sons. If you want a child, you can have one ALONE and that child is going to THRIVE from the attention and care they’ll receive- nobody needs a BAD PARENT, which is what many fathers actually are. My own mother was a horror show of a being but that didn’t stop me from doing the very best I could do with my own offspring *despite* my horrendously abused childhood- facts are EVERY parent has their own challenges. I had my last pregnancy at 47, naturally conceived, but I chose to not go through with that one because my body and mind were exhausted and I would not have been a good mother at ALL for that child- I had had a baby at 43 and I was done. My pregnancy at 43 was perfectly fine without ANY involvement of the medical industry, no scans, no tests, I gave birth by myself in a birth pool in my bedroom, no issues, healthy all round. You can absolutely have a child if you want to and you can afford to. ❤

Most men who want children have no idea what to do with them. That is why the majority of the time, the women go through emotional rollercoaster to raise them, and the men can either do not help as much or stay and still not help. So when a man says that women will regret not having children ..well it would also be regrettable raising them one while a man is still in the home. Akon said men didn't need women. So, I never had children and a few years ago I moved to a country where I’ve learned that people just make babies for the sake of it and always look stunned, dazed and confused when I state that it was my choice not to marry or have children. People INSIST “but you must have at least one...” it’s ridiculous. For starters, I made this decision in my 30s, I’m now 50 which most are stunned to learn but STILL insist “it’s not too late, you can still have one...” 👀 When I explain that I would not under any circumstances have a child at this age when I chose not to have any 20 years ago, they all look like they didn’t think that was an option. Meanwhile, I see miserable women here every single day, struggling to raise a gang of kids that they clearly don’t want and often treat like sh!t. But this society insists on people having a bijillion babies that the women typically care for with little to no help from the men, they often still have to go out and work, and they’re doing nothing but creating generational poverty. I try to avoid having these conversations but as people don’t realize my age and insist on trying to link me up for marriage, I inevitably have to end up telling people these things. I’ve even had to tell a few obnoxiously pushy men “you lot are not the prize. I’m good” ... and they generally look confused and irritated that a woman could be fulfilled without a man and some babies. Meanwhile, I’m living my best life. Ladies, don’t be conned into it if you don’t want to be strapped down forever. You can live a comfortable and happy life without children.

You're absolutely right. All of the reasons people in this comment section listed for not voluntarily having children is the reason "they" want you to continue having them. About a little over a week ago there was a report of roughly 30 kids missing in Cleveland Ohio. Nobody knows where they are. The foster care system has countless kids that go missing on a regular. I remember a story on an actual case worker trying to coerce a young teenage girl into sex work not that long ago. It was caught on video . This problem can be fixed, they just don't want to. In order for society to continue as it has been there will always have to be individuals that are at the bottom for the wealthy to loom over and for the bottom feeders to seige on. There are plenty more Epstein's in the world doing what that vile creature did. It's like the movie Hunger Games...it's a race to survive.

Critical thinking is why college is so expensive. They wanted to edge people out from college because once many are in university they wake up to society’s bull, so they made it too costly. Good for your girls realizing what is and is not for them based on real logic and not what society wants them to do.

Thank you! 5:52 I suffered from depression and high anxiety because of mental and emotional abuse from my dad. I used to wonder why my mum had me then would tell me to just cope with what she had chosen for herself when I didn't have a say in it. When I would ask her we leave my dad from when I was young she'd say she needed him for support but ended up doing it on her own regardless. When I would express my disdain for him she'd tell me he's my dad and to just accept him as he is and still love him. This conditioned me to be in toxic relationships and before I got the self love I have now, I was in emotionally, mentally and PHYSICALLy abusive relationships cause that's what was normal to me as I saw it from my mum and dad's relationship. Once I realized I was programmed wrong and acted right and got the right man, I fell into serious depression and anxiety cause literally HEALTHY was so foreign to me it was like a disease. 😳 I didn't want children even after being with my man for 6 years but now I am due next week. In the first trimester what scared me is how I'll be able to show the kid this "new" healthy life when I am also getting accustomed to it. I am now ready for my baby and thank God for the healing otherwise I would have brought another broken person into this world who would be abused. I never judge anyone who doesn't want a child because I also didn't but life had a different plan for me. Thank God it was when I am healed and mentally and emotionally stable. People should truly live their lives and not judge others. We are all walking a different path to fulfill our own unique destiny. What's best for you might not be for me.

Valid points! I'll be 39 on June 16th. No kids yet but I always desired that for me. However, I must have a suitable partner and have various systems in place before I feel comfortable. You have ppl having kids because its a checklist just like marriage. I'm 30, I must be married and have kids when they are not suitable for neither roles. I work in the children system of care and its disgusting to see some of these parents and they wonder why their kids have issues. Its because you haven't healed and work through your bs before kids and now these same parents are frustrated and/or mad. Another point too, kids are trophies to some parents, the idea of how can they benefit from or off that child too. Work on you first before bringing another human into the world!! If not you are lowkey selfish. To be a parent you have to be selfless. ✌🏾

I won’t be a single parent and I won’t have more than one. If you need kids to feel fulfilled and have purpose, you’re doing something wrong...

I don’t understand the influx of the desire to have children if you don’t have anything to pass down to them but your trauma. Men want a legacy and don’t have a dime or land to their name. Women want children just to say they’re a mom but have yet to realize how selfless you have to be. Bearing children should be reserved for those that are mentally and financially stable.

Plus, the lady in the cream hoodie described it well ‘having a kid is like having your soul walk outside of you’. Like her, I’ve never trusted anyone to ‘babysit’ my kids! (except my mum). I love having kids, but I’m now informing my daughters & son - they have a choice, they don’t need to have children!

Men have been crippled by their mothers' mollycoddling. I have a theory that women with sons live their repressed carefree childhood through their male offspring and their unfulfilled potential through their daughters, hence the popular saying that "mothers love their son but raise their daughters" and the clear contrast in childrearing approaches. I've been exposed to many cultures through the years and I've noticed a pervasive trend when it comes to the dynamic between mother and daughter: daughters are raised to be tough and to shoulder adult responsibility and absorb a deluge of criticism before even the beginning of puberty. Whereas boys are encouraged to preserve and fuel this childlike wonder and insouciance all through their adulthood on the premise that they will marry a woman who will manage and spearhead all forms of responsibility, household management, and emotional labor on their behalf. In short, men have been giving libre passage to sustain a Peter Pan syndrome that makes them completely detached from reality in all of its aspects; whether it pertains to fatherhood, financial responsibility, awareness about the requirements for a sustainable partnership etc. This emotional intelligence deficiency is evident and understandable given that men have been sheltered by their mothers from the necessary suffering and concepts of self-sacrifice that are conducive to fostering it. Women today are not bound by the same economic limitations faced by their foremothers and are coming to terms that there is an immense irreconcilable fissure in men's self development that makes partnership unlivable today. There is literally nothing to gain from marrying an overgrown child who perpetually believes the sun shines out of their ass because mommy told them so. There is nothing to gain from marrying someone who harbors contempt for their skewed understanding of a woman's nature. They also see you as a sex accessory in a neverending video game to impress other men. They do not accept that your brain is capable of existential needs that go beyond the scope of the role that they've limited you to: breeding, adulation, and worshipping of the male. Please do yourself a favor and stay alone.
