On June 5, 2002, Elizabeth Smart was taken by a religious fanatic Brian Mitchell. For the next nine months, the man and his wife, Wanda Barzee, subjected Elizabeth to unspeakable horrors all in the name of God, and the tenets of their made up religion. To survive the harrowing ordeal, she relies on her faith and her family’s love to endure the months of torture, until she can figure out a way to return home.

I remember listening to this story, it was truly heartbreaking and twisted what happened to this poor girl. No words can describe it, nor describe how i felt when she was finally rescued. Although she will probably be scarred for the rest of her life, I’m glad she didn’t let it bring her down. ❤ As for that devil who took and did all those evil things to her, to this day i genuinely been hoping and waiting he gets that Larry Nassar treatment, and the guards turn a blind eye to it.

This is so unsettling. This is acting. This happened but far worse, far far worse to ever be put on film. The film is insulting. Much like other films of survivors , I can’t and wont speak further.

Well, Brian is an antisocial narcissist who uses a twisted form of religion to make himself feel important and justify his kidnapping of minors. Certain that a good portion of religious individuals would agree that what he did to this poor girl was horrifying.

Why do most woman just give up and let these things happen ??? Why not fight and just die and at least have the person get caught I mean they let her go multiple times.
