If memory serves, the mom’s daughter was being kept in that house and she went to get her but the guy shut her down and didn’t tell the daughter. She was there because her parents told her they wanted her to leave or something but they realised they were wrong and were trying to get her back.

i HATE when people do that, i have nearly broken a window to get a toddler out of a car, i was so pissed off. DONT LEAVE BABIES IN CARS REGARDLESS OF TIME OR TEMP

or any living thing for that matter, heat in a car can be a whole lot hotter inside a car, even if it's in the shade and even if it has windows open, in some areas it just doesn't make enough of a difference.

depends if the car has temp control. Teslas for example have a dog mode you can use for dogs and kids who can be left on their own in a car like 7+ dont- don't break random windows lol

the blue may be partly due to poor circulation, which the door would have been cutting off, plus the blood loss too

Its actually pretty easy to crack ribs during chest compessions, the fact she was pissy over it makes no sense.

they told us in my cpr class that its very likely to break ribs during compressions but its a risk worth taking to restart the heart better than him dying

@@arthur_168 that’s on her not him, she asked him to check the back that takes him from an observer to acting part, he then calls out to her and she fails to response. And when she does response and comes she instead should have come with compassion and understanding rather than scorn, it was a teaching moment for why acting might not be the best options and why he meant to observe.

There was no need for CPR, the person was still breathing. It was his fault for doing CPR instantly.

I saw one chest compression where the lung was punctured, the patient had blood coming out of his mouth on each compression. And the compressions were so brutal, it was hard to watch.

The guy that was doing CPR I don't really think he was at fault. No one was giving him any instructions on what he should be doing, instead he was just stood there watching the guy seizing. So he decided doing something other than watch the guy die was better than nothing Dawson or Brett should have told him what to do or swapped patients with him so he was out front with someone with experience

and also, if you crack/break a rib, at least you know that you're doing the chest compressions hard enough for it to be effective at pumping the heart

He's observing, he's not ALLOWED to perform them, it's against the rules and they could get in legal trouble

Cardiac arrest is an immediately life threatening medical emergency in real life if I went into cardiac arrest and CPR caused cracked ribs I would be willing to live with the pain from cracked ribs if the chest compressions saved my life. Severely fractured ribs can cause a pneumothorax or collapsed lung which is also a life threatening medical emergency but every minute that passes after a patient goes into cardiac arrest reduces their chances of survival by 10%. Paramedics in real life would be trained to accurately assess if a patient has a pulse before they consider chest compressions.

They should not have broken that car window so quickly. It's not hot outside and the child was awake and alert. A quick shout or check around would have turned up the mother in the house. If there was a reason to suspect the women was buying drugs or high while driving then they could have detained her until CPD arrived.
