When the doctors tell him that his beloved dog Bella only has a few more months to live before cancer claims her life, Robert Kugler decides to make the most of the time they have left together and starts taking her on adventures. And he also creates a new tradition: a selfie with her whenever they explore a new place. During one of their hikes, they take their usual selfie with the forest as a background. But when Robert checks the picture again, he turns pale as he spots something frightening a few feet behind them. What follows is the most shocking adventure he could ever live with his best friend.

I'm 69 been retired for ten years and have a cemetery with nine dogs in it and Everytime I over to it I start crying I miss them all I hope I see them again one day 😢

I woke up day before yesterday, to find one of my little dogs dead. He was laying beside me but I had no idea he passed until I went to pick him up and place him on the floor. I am heartbroken. My heart goes out to all of you who have pets who are, have and will pass away soon. It hurts. But death is another door that every single living creature must past through including us. I know my little dog is happy now. He is free from a body that was holding him back. At least I have happy memories but right now all I can do is cry. I will miss you beloved dog. See ya in the next life.

I had to euthanize my Diabetic medical alert service dog April 19,2024. He went into congestive heart failure and having been diagnosed with a heart murmur Dec of 2023. He was on a heart med and steroids. The meds stop working at the end of March. We tried lasix. But he started passing out from coughing. His vet and my vet friend said it was time. He was 16 1/2 , the most amazing dog I've ever had or seen . Smart,loving,and sweet. My Cocco James was my life savior. Now my heart is broken.

Im so sorry for your loss, it’s like losing a child especially when you have them for so many years. In February, my 12 year old mixed breed passed, I still hear his nails on the hardwood floor, sometimes I hear him whimper. I even miss having him get up in my face while I’m trying to eat. I’ve promised myself I won’t feed my next baby table food, but I know I’m lying 😁. I miss Goblin so much, he was a really good boy. Give yourself time to heal, have you notified your doctor that you need another service dog? Im not sure how long it takes to get one, but I’m sure you have it covered. Bless your heart, I hope you find another lovely helper to share your life with.♥️🙏🏻

Yes...💔 I completely understand. I have been there. I also lost my beloved service dog who was amazingly faithful chocolate lab ...who was just something other... My heart is broken and I can barely even say his name even though it's been a few years since his passing. I don't think our heart ever truly heals... We just figure out a way that we have to keep going and hold that memory. So precious and dear within the very depth and core of our being... We were given this great privilege of having the most amazing creation in our life, even if for a small amount of time... We were enormously blessed 💔🫴🏼❤️🐶

This might sound silly but Robert was lucky to be given the time with Bella. The love of my life, my dog Dakota, was diagnosed with cancer in July and died in August. I did manage to take her to the one place she and I found peace. We rented a lake house. She was so happy. I have a picture of her and myself and you can see the happiness in her face. Two weeks later she was gone. It will be nine years ago in August and my heart still hurts. I miss her so much. I hope one day to see her again and spend eternity together.

You WILL see her again, believe that. I know I'd rather have a sleeping death than a spiritual passing without the ones I love. One thing that really makes me believe is that we love way, way more than necessary for survival. We love to deeply for it just to end.

It's such nice story it made me cry.... I had a pug doggy with cancer in her leg.... But on the End of Days I had to put her Asleep as the Cancer spread through her whole body..... She was start smelling from the Cancer....... So I put her to Sleep..... I Lost my child that's all I had because I don't have children. She was like a Child to me..... 3 years ago we lost our sweet boy Buddy. He'd been with us for 7 years. ❤ he was my husband's travel companion while he drove truck across the U.S. ❤we noticed Buddy was loosing weight really fast. He wasn't eating any of his food all he wanted was ice-cubes. Plus we noticed he had problems laying on his tummy so I gave him his own pillow to lay across, this was during covid, we took Buddy to the E.R veterinarian clinic. We got devastating news, our sweet boy had a softball size cancerous tumor in his abdomen, it was inoperable, we had Buddy for 2 more days when he went to sleep. Loosing him was as painful as loosing family. My deepest heart condolences for the loss of your sweet girl ❤😢❤

Aw... Bella was a perfect Guardian Angel for her environments everywhere. Animals always have compassion towards other creatures, when it's necessary. I can see why you'd miss her always. She's precious in every which way that was known. I'm so sorry for your lose. This is one of the best true life stories that I've watched for quite sometime too. I this story touched my heart. I took my dog to the vet with😮 s cough not expecting anything real bad but ehen I had to leave her there do they could do some tests. When I went back later to get results and take her home I was greeted with the news that she had an aggressive cancer abc I should leave her there to be euthanised. I was devastated but I wouldn’t leave her. I crying I took her home and gave her the best weekend of her life with all the treats snd live I could give her. Then with a heavy and breaking heart I took her back after the weekend and we sad our final goodbye. That was four months ago sbd my heart is still struggling to accept she’s gone. I know I did the right thing for her so she wasn’t suffering but my loss is deep and will take some to accrpt. But I have her son and he’s just as loving and sweet tempered as his momma was so I have a constant living memory with me. I miss her so much. But she was much loved .😪😪😪😪🌻🌈💔💔💔

You need to get another dog. Go to the animal shelter and pick out a dog that suits you. You will make two lives happy; yours and your new dogs lives. I have been where you are and it's hard, but I always got another dog and it paid off in spades each time.

Too bad you didn’t do some research on homeopathic medicines for animals with all kinds of cancer…….4 years ago my 8 year old dog was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia……Vets said chemo bla bla bla…..I said no……got on line and found HOMEOANIMAL…..a company that creates cancer treatments for cats and dogs without drugs…..long story short here it is 4 years later and her white blood cell count has gone down every year from where it started……..HOMEOANIMAL became ZUMALKA …..Check it out ……Never give up on your pet just because someone else says so……

This is a beautiful story about a sweet girl named Bella and the human who loved her. I have lost precious animals and l cared for them to the very end. The vet said they had terminal conditions (one dear cat had breast cancer). This is over a period of decades. I always tried to be there for their journey home to the very end. I am glad he did not give up on Bella. That special day was his reward.

The story is great the random arrows that really point to nothing is distracting and makes ppl look for the reason instead of listening to the story. -How could a bear be in a selfie that shows only the sky with a circle and arrow in it???? -The forest is alive, there are hundreds of small birds in the trees and animals on the ground. It's a shame people always think of the worst before seeing the reality, he should have trusted the dog. It ended well, i have never turned away a wild animal that has approached me peacefully, there is always a reason for it.

I had 3 cats. Hemi was almost 19 years old when he passed in 2022. In March this year my female cat Mercedes who slept with me every night passed at 18 1/2 years old. Here I am tearing up with emotion over this heartwarming yet very sad video. RIP Bella. Here’s the thing…just yesterday we said goodbye to our final cat Kobe. He was 18 years old. It has been a rough few months. Since I was 6 years old I have always had a dog as well. We said goodbye to Tia in 2020. While I am crying as I write this I know that every animal lover knows they are family. This was an incredible story. I’m really glad I saw this today.

Bella is a real angel. Although she was not good, she was going to help someone. Bella did might not be a mother, but she know that another mother wanted her help and she know she had to help. She know that her owner would follow her lead. The owner did not know that Bella know what is happening to her. So owner you going to miss her, but she another they for you care when she leave. I arrived too late to tell my favourite cat , Exavierre good bye, she stopped jumping up in my lap because she had arthritis…I thought of it after she had passed , she passed before I got there while son and daughter visited her in the veterinary hospital, she ate her favourite our flight got there too late… food, then nestled in my son’s lap and arms and passed.. daughter and son cried…the cat was emotionally rattled when too near the other cats,,grumpy cat, she picked out a corner by the front door to stay in at home… got more sick and they took her to the animal hospital…that beautiful female cat…I had painted her and it was so real looking of her….she was called Zovy for short…black and white long haired Persian cat…

I just had to put my GSD down that was about to turn 14 June 5th. She passed way May 17th. Miss her a lot. Her brother is not doing well and I know soon we will have to put him down. Right now I cry a lot. Every turn I make in the house reminds me of her. So I know and understand what people go thru when they loose there best friend.

I miss all my cats. But I miss BooBoo the most. She was very sensitive. My mom gave me covid. I without knowing gave BooBoo covid. She could never get over it. I kept her close as long as I could, then sent her to the Rainbow Bridge. I even miss the homeless cats I've fed over the years. Just lost one of those. Tom the cat. My NaNa saved my life (terrible mental state). She was my first. I have 4 now. A mama cat I rescued and her three kittens (didn't know she was pregnant so bonus cats). They are young so I pray for a long time with them. Its totally heartbreaking to loose them but I would never had been without them. I cherish every moment with them all.

They gave us two weeks with our pet Sam. We just stayed with him at home. The day before we were to put him to sleep. He was thirteen he ran around the backyard like he was a puppy making us laugh. That night when we went to bed. He didn’t sleep with us but sleep in our room. Anyway that night he came to my side of the bed and licked my face then went to my husbands side and did the same thing he wanted up on our bed and we let him. The next day we were taking him to put him to sleep. He knew what was going to happen. I don’t think I could ever get another dog. It will be a year in November 🥹

My Dr Dosed her ul with pain pills and gave me some to take home. Off she ran but aftet awhile shr needed more so we got some pot and it nicely rounded her pain regim. She is so thankful and it is going on 2 years. She is a small girl but ehe commands the big girls whk are cochins. A testimony of true live. This is an expensive birdie. Although it is getting worse slowlh we must all understand wben its time its time 😊

I also have a tiny cemetery with the bodies of beloved parrots. My sweet dogs were cremated, and when I go, their ashes go with me.

Dogs or even Cats are like losing a family member they love you unconditionally they protect you And they piss you off But they won't argue with you LOL I just hope my pets will be waiting for me in heaven

I’m sorry about the loss. My son had a 3 legged Rottweiler and she was just as fast as any other dog! She also played with bowling balls! 😅😂🤣

In February (2024) I lost my Border Collie, whom I had for thirteen years and three months. I got her at three and a half weeks old because her mother refused to nurse her, and dad kept trying to kill her. She saved my life back in 2011. I literally wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her! She was my furry little baby, and I miss her so much! She was the smartest, funniest, most charismatic animal I've ever had. RIP, Nessie!

Beautiful story❤ the way it was told, I thought it might turn out to be one of those missing 411 spooky stories and it sorta did have a paranormal twist to it. It sounds like the dog knew it woukd no longer be here, bless its heart and it wanted to save those babies to get them returned to their mama

when i lost my teja she was so beautiful and so smart she loved me with so much love when she was going through renal failure we took to the vet and i had to have her put to sleep it was so hard on me she was small she was a chipee part chihuahua and park pekingnese when h she was going her littLe toes was SPREAD APART she was going home to be with the lord god told me she is coming to me and he told me u will have another dog and about two days latter i got my phoebe god also told me you will be with her again

Nice , Desparation can lead to unthingcable situations. A mother in anny kind of species will do the impossible for here kids . This is why the most dangerous humans are mothers who protecting there childeren ! They will do the impossible even it would means the end of there lives...

I always love these fictitious stories. I think they affect the writer side of me and make me want to write fiction. I'm a regularly published non-fiction writer. I also have a friend whose dog died of cancer. His poor dog also lost a leg to the cancer. but my friend didn't make up any faction to go along with it,

I loved the many years I had with different pet dogs, and I was there at the end when they could live no more. However when my last Spring Spaniel was at the end of her life, my wife went in the room while her life ended. I was a coward because I just couldn't go in there. I waited in the car until my wife returned, and fully expected her to say something unkindly for leaving our beautiful dog at the end of her life. However, she didn't say a word.
