NEVER run from a bear. Don’t approach a bear - just move away and leave the area. However, if a black bear does approach you, make yourself look big, make loud noises, clap your hands, and continue to back away until you are a safe distance from the black bear. This video was taken in Central Park Burnaby B.C. Canada

It's a celebrity bear, complete with armed guard. Limo returned him to the forest later in the day. No autographs given.

The fkn scumbag officer killed the bear. We need to do this to humans. Humans think they are better and above animals. Wtf happened to relocating the bear. The scumbag officer said he didn't think the bear could survive in the wild. Wtf is going on nowadays when a bear can't survive in the wild? The bear has a better chance in the wild than with scumbag humans around. Tranq and relocate is easy but officers rather kill than relocate. Hope something bad happens to him and his family for what he done, gets a little taste of his own medicine

There were many calls after bear’s sightings, but officers were interested in making the case against the bear, asking if the animal attacked somebody. I don’t get why they do not react on time before the animal gets familiar with the people. Still, it is incredible how a bear that size gets into this very urban park surrounded by great avenues and cars without being noticed before spring. This is a very sad story! Wildlife keep lossing chances in front of people.

@Diana Margarita Vasquez I'm sitting in that park right now. It's not at all surprising that the bear is in this park. Coyotes and bears travel up from the Fraser River through a cemetery and then across one street and then they access this part which is 90 hectares. It's a huge Park and that bear grabbed a goose when he was here and had a big meal. When they're finished they go back down across the street through the cemetery and back down to the river and from there they can access the forest again.

@@Joe-mz6dc Maybe we humans are in the wrong place. And bears are the natural owners of all forests and open space. I feel sad for every animal defeated because of “civilization.” It is like mourning for children, too, when exposed to pain and suffering.

Bad idea.... A paint-ball or a marble from a sling-shot into it's ass Bears learn quick When the smell of humans correlates with a three day limp That bear will stop hanging around Sad...but it's better than the bullet that is in this bears future
