I’m not even a Liverpool fan but I can clearly see Roberto was robbed by that goal being disallowed. Van Dijk clearly moves his arm down so he doesn’t hit De Gea. United should’ve played to the whistle instead of sulking.

According to the law of the game, that was a foul. I don't agree with this law because it just means that you can't do shit to challenge a 'keeper. Under LAW 12 (Fouls and Misconduct) > 2 (Indirect Free Kick). Put simple, as soon as the 'keeper even touches the ball with any parts of his hands he cannot be challenged. Doesn't matter if the player is going for the ball, he isn't allowed to touch the 'keeper as soon as he touches that ball. Hope they change this law in the near future. In my own opinion that was a good challenge by VVD and really bad effort from De Gea. We all know that VAR will have a look at it when it becomes a goal so the whole United team can chill and wait for the decision. Now they are in trouble with the FA for not being able to control their players and surrounding the ref. Btw, I'm a ref myself though I'm mostly a linesman.

@@ms8ff153 that rule changed recently, maybe two years ago. According to the new rules you can't challenge the 'keeper as soon as he touches the ball with 'any' part of his hand(s). As soon as he touches the ball it is considered to be controlled. Like I said, I don't agree with this rule but I can't change it back, though I hope they do. This is just another step towards taking away the 'contact' in this sport.

@@mohammedahmed1263 Firmino disallowed goal. Mane chance were De Gea saved. Salah missed a sitter at the beginning of the second half. Henderson shot which was palmed onto the post. That’s off the top of my head, obviously not including the two we actually scored, and you say 4 at most 😂😂😂 Utd had two decent chances and that was it.

He was looking for the ball and didn't get it. It doesn't have to be intentional to be a foul. It doesn't matter much anyway. It just would've changed the final scoreline from 2-0 to 5 or 6 nil. Liverpool dont need goal difference they will win the league with plenty of points to spare. Probably will win it in March.

It's strange though back tactically solsjkaer got it right we just didn't take our chances at all, we could have had finished off Liverpool, we were determined going forward with pace as compared to when mourinho set the team out to defend, we were passing sideways and back, and didn't attack. In fact if memory serves me right Liverpool had 36 shots on our goal in that match. We need experience players and wingers
