What's funny about the first goal (and a wee bit fluky) is that Cole and Sheringham hated each other and Cole's pass wasn't meant for him... Cole hit it with enough power to suggest it was going out to the wing for a cross into the box. Even the right back makes a run wide thinking the same. Sheringham was never going to return a pass back to Cole either. Instead he passed it to Scholes through the legs of a defender when a pass to Cole was an easier one to make lol

Keane and Sheringham didn’t speak for 5 years either and this was during that time so them shaking hands here as Sheringham replaced Keane was about as much interaction as they had.

a friend of mine was at wembley for this , the most interesting thing i recall him saying was how calm it was for a cup final, as if it was an exhibiton rather than a cup final.

Ferguson was a demon. He played with a two man midfield of Scholes and Beckham in a FA Cup final. No defensive midfielder whatsoever

Back then there was no such thing as DM. Both CMs have box to box roles.

@@bryanleeyf87Not true at all! Keane was box to box early in his career and still was sometimes later on but mainly DM and same pattern for Scholes who started as a 10 then box to box and then DM. When Scholes played 10 and b 2 b got more goals than Lampard

Teddy Sheringham was a top top class forward should have played more games for Man U & England I'd of picked him ahead of Andy Cole in the Man Utd team like.

The comparison between Scholes, Gerrard a d Lampard is ridiculous coz if Scholes had Lampard role he would of scored more but he moved back to make the team tick whilst Lampard couldn't do that and Gerrard had to be main man most of his career so will have more highlights but was nowhere near as good as Scholes
