Eriksen will make this team tick. What a player. I knew he was signes because of his world class view of the game and passing abillity. But he was involved in all 3 goals. Made the breakthrough pass for first, made the breakthrought pass for second, and assist for third. What a player.

When we had McFred - all the passes were going to the side. And now with Eriksen we have vertical passing, cutting the defense straight to the attacking line. Eriksen to Bruno gave us two goals tonight. Fantastic performance.

My only issue with rashy is his work rate up top. Couple times I woulda liked him to pressure ramsdale. Wish they’d just keep him on the left seems so much more comfortable out there. Hell of a game tho.

@@petercarolan9416 its about being in position. if he presses and they pass around him the CB will be in acres of space to run into and will pull our midfield out of position. Untill this team is well drilled in pressing as a team on a trigger, and have the fitness for it, rashford is doing the right thing by denying the space.

They played Oleball after the first 10 minutes. it won't work all season, it'll work against teams that play high possession and keep a high line but Man Utd will continue to lose points to lesser teams.

@@gary83uk that's why you ain't into football management. You analyse your opponent and not play into their hands because you intend to assert domination. When you'd be given the sack, them board won't remember how much you dominated or played well. The end result when you do a Leicester right now would be your ticket out of job. Luckily ETH ain't gonna be one way like you in his thought process. To put cement into your bread, this wasn't Ole's ball; even SAF played on the counter in his time against Arsenal. We had no passing strings with Ole at the helm. How some of you lots don't see the diff is downright sick to imagine.

Brilliant goals from Anthony and Rashford. Loved the fighting spirit just like in the previous matches. But you gotta agree, Eriksen is the core of the team. What a signing he's been! Also hats off to the back 4 and McTominay, the way they neutralized the Arsenal attackers were magnificent. So happy for the team and the players, and also for Ten Hag as he had to start from rock bottom. Cmon United!

Have to admit Arsenal played some fantastic football... But United look more like a business minded team... Winning is the most important thing. Admittedly, United are showing really character and some lovely link-up plays though still in patches but it will only get better.

Maybe i went a little bit over the top but is because we always blame him and Fred for everything and watching him perform like he did was a big statement. Obviously Rashford and Ericksen did amazing, but is just my unconditional support for the players that made me choose him, after all the hate. Just my opinion mate.

I think ETH managed to teach the majority of these players the basics eg workrate and communication without yet implementing any sort of high press system he is used to. Under RR and the first two games they played well in the first 10 min then quickly fell apart and gave up once things started getting tough

During the first 19 minutes, United showed total domination with 72% possession. Antony, Dalot, Malacia, etc. were all hungry. Martinez showed Gabriel Jesus what he was about during the very first minute. Dalot was amazing along with Malacia! McTominay was solid aside from 4-5 bad passes that gave Arsenal counterattacks. Sucks that Ronaldo didn't have as many chances because by the time he got in, Erik ten Hag took out his wingers and instead put Fred in. CR7 was so frustrated, but you could see his hunger to score. The whole team spirit was there today despite Arsenal's pressure over 60+ minutes. Woo!

What i noticed today with Ronaldo on the pitch off the ball was the defenders seemed to be fixated on his presence, always trying to mark him and follow him around the pitch, which inadvertently gave others space to find themselves with the ball in a comfortable spot. He may not have scored but he was influencing the game without the ball

People just commended on Rashford, Eriksen and Bruno when the truth was that until the 60th minute we were wayy behind in midfield with just 15% possession with all the same players that were commended. Rashy, Bruno & Eriksen were out of sort from the start of the second half until the 60th. We were at the back foot until Ronaldo came in on the second half. Because it took at least 2 players to focus on Ronaldo who look menacing everytime he touched the ball that gave Man Utd momentum once again. The build up for Rashford second goal was because of 5 Arsenal players that were pulled away by Ronny's possession that gave space to the other players to run through the defence unguarded.

The signing of Eriksen shows how well-planned ETH is. There was always a possibility that we might not be able to sign FDJ. ETH was determined to sign FDJ whole summer, but he bought Eriksen as the perfect insurance, even if it's for short term.

God I hope Martinez is okay. We're gonna NEED him through the whole season. The game was an Old School Titanic tussle. Arsenal weren't backing down but Utd stayed calm and took their chances. 🔥🔥🔥 (Just wish Ronaldo got off the mark for the Season. What a game! We did not fully play with a system or philosophy (as we are building one), but I loved seeing a fighting spirit in the players! Martinez, Dalot, and Malacia really bring the fire and compete level! Our new players energize our other players like Scotty... who is playing with a fire under him! GGMU but man I was really impressed by some of Arsenal's play, especially by Saka. They missed some great chances but that is the difference in our team this year vs last - we are getting lucky because our boys are working hard and making their own breaks! you can see ETH system starting to take form but I think this is all about the leadership, energy and accountability that Martinez, Erikson and Malacia have brought in!

Unselfish play from Eriksen but would've loved him to get his first goal for United at Old Trafford. But he knew what was important was the win so he passed to the open player big up for Eriksen.

Absolutely loved how Martinez was right there to congratulate him, both teammates side by side under ETH from Ajax, fighting spirit resonating through the team. Was also nice to show Ronaldo clapping on from the bench. That day when we here the goal scorer announcement as, "Antony" followed by "Martial", that would be a momment to behold. :) Great perfmance on his debut, great performance by our team. The teams mentality at 0-1 down, then having that goal cancelled out, the players still showed fight and dedication not to get turned over and kept growing as the game went on. Again really over the moon with happiness for Rashford. No doubt Arsenal was another good test, Saka really causing issues, no doubt our team made it hard not to be turned over and pushed over to the side of the kerb. Great stuff. Personally I am calling it, just me. I reckon we will win a troph this season. Either a League Cup, F.A Cup. Europa League, I am still 50/50 since the Champions League teams are still yet to get going. Maybe I am dreaming or getting ahead of things this early on, but i hope we win one of the domestic trophies this season. ETH Red Army, loving them right now. 🙌👏

Antony's goal was great but I was most happy with another aspect of his performance. He is a great outlet on the wing because he can control most balls played to him and get us on the front foot. He has the touch you would hope of a Brazilian attacker. He can and will do much more for us this season. Goals are only part of the picture. Rashford is better playing through the centre whereas we now have 2 genuine wingers and it's a huge difference. Even Fred is better because he's not being expected to play in a CM pivot.

Saka was a good challenge for Malacia. Malacia looked shaky at times, but overall I'd say he passed the test. Martinelli was a handful for Dalot. I'm a bit concerned that teams are starting to target him.

Dalot was quality against martinelli today. Only had one good chance that was from a missed foul call. Dalot has been the most improved imo at of all the existing players.

Just watching with the goal and disallowed goal our defence were angry and disappointed. Antony pulling at the badge and Eriksen just doing what he does. I'm so excited, cautiously albeit, but what a result. We look like a team, everyone is giving a 100% and we got the result against the flow of things. We converted our chances and that is something I haven't believed/thought we could do for 2 years to put a game to bed. GLORY GLORY

On thing nobody is talking about is Antony’s defending, he was exceptional. His work rate and anticipation to get organised out of possession is very impressive. He made a bunch of great tackles as well. Ten Hag is the chosen one!

We played well then slowed down till arsenal got the equalizer but came back strong. Maguire proved why he needs to keep warming the bench. Coming on and getting a straight yellow and pushing players all over instead of playing the ball

Seeing how we drew and lost to middle table teams ( weaker teams ) plus losing to the top table teams cost us the trophies for some years in this pro Ferguson era . Now we can have some high and proud face with this team , taking the points were we could easily lose them in the past . Sam if you recall what Steve McClaren said about his time at Twente he talked about the decisions Erik advised him to make. Some were counterintuitive but they almost always worked. We are seeing him do the same for us.
