At time of Jim Crow black children being children did not know their place when in the white public and could end up in the child being punished and their parents could not do anything about it. Definitely appreciate this. She didn't cop an attitude and tell her daughter, "Stay in a child place and be quiet," like we were told and dismissed, growing up. She validated her daughters feelings and corrected her delivery with love and compassion. Blue immediately lowered her voice and showed her mom respect. No cussing, no belittling, no sass. This is how we should be with our babies. Especially oirnlittlenhirls. Much respect.
