what does the gypsum do to beneficial fungi ? I am a truffle farmer and need to protect the tuber melanosporum ... in a high magnesium soil, the aeration is bad and we need to get more oxygen into the top soil profile, but I was advised that gypsum is bad for truffle.

does adding lime and gypsum nearly simultaneously have any negatives? Would that increase the speed of correction or is there a max to calcium applications to existing plants (turf)?
